Upgradable gears and weapons

Hi,
It has been discussed before, but can't find the topic anymore.
Whatever, I would like to see a way to find ressources to upgrade gears to another level.
For example, sometimes I'm finding equipment and they have an enchantment going better If you have more gears or weapons of that type. They are special, but its sad when you have one of it lvl 18 and the other one lvl 24.
What about finding materials to upgrade from lvl 18 to 24? Could be much better than trying to find the same equipment (If Its possible, i dont know If they are unique).

✭It is not possible to 'upgrade' the level of an equipment say level 18 to 24. You can only upgrade the item color (White -> Green -> Blue -> Purple -> Gold) that can improve the equipment.
Let's say a Level 18 White equipment is weaker than high level white equipment.
However, you can have a Level 18 Blue equipment which can be equal in strength as say level 19 or level 20 white equipment.
Furthermore, you can have a stronger equipment if the level 18 item is Purple - more than a level 19 or level 20 white equipment.1 -

Jimbullbee85✭✭✭✭Although it's not a bad idea if they put a measure in place to upgrade the level of an item it would have to be expensive to do. And of course, that idea is not new... it has been discussed numerous times here on the forums.
Yes, it would be nifty. Not for lowbie gear, where you overlevel so fast, you just chuck the old and grab some new. But for later times, when you have that one set you feel is -just perfect- for your character, but find that set is not available at higher veteran ranks / champion point versions...
Naturally such base level upgrades should cost quite a bit in terms of resources - so much that upgrading your old gear ends up being the same amount of effort as going out and earning a new set.
It could be done as a new crafting skill perk that becomes available to spend skill point on at crafting level 50... maybe even at three levels (first level - change gear appereance, second level - change trait, third level - upgrade gear level).
And like temper improvements, it could come with a destruction chance that can be migrated by using more resources...
It might possibly even require some extra-rare (think perfect roe rare) super-special transformative resources, that people could spend lots of time to farm for... or buy in the crown store for those who lack the patience.
But since this has been mentioned now and then on the forums since... well, since I started paying attention, and no word from ZOS, I would not consider it too liekly a thing to ever come. But who knows? It might, someday. It most certainly would make the game more enjoyable for many...1 -
Nic727✭✭✭✭I think the best thing is to find materials and after you lvl up the equipment, it remove the rarity of it. So it goes from blue to white, but keep enchanting and traits on it.0
