Will Removal of Vet mean Re-crafting/Farming Sets every 10 CP's?

People are starting to realise that not much will change with removal of vet ranks.

All that changed its now all your alts need upgraded weapons/armour at the same time and since DLCs and dungeons scale to your level you will have a bunch of toons underpowered till you have the time to get materials for all of them rather than letting the toon level with the gear.

Let's see who is still in denial....

This is the way it's always been, there's nothing changing here except you don't have to level each alt individually before regearing them. It's still less hassle than before VR is removed.

I'm sorry but it looks like all the doom-and-gloom predictions are simply not going to pan out.

We do not know the frequency. For now we know we are locked at v16 gear which will be cp 160.

If would see logical gear would be on cp 50 increments. And for that, yes to crafting more gear regularly.

Exactly. It's same as it was.

It is unequivocally not the same as it was. The fact that CP are account wide means you don't have to level all of your alts thereby changing the amount of time spent on those activities that can be put towards other things. It's similar, but it isn't the same and the distinction is meaningful.

Or you can just transfer the gear from your main, since the bank is account wide. In theory you could get one set of light heavy and medium for your whole account, provided the set bonus's were decent enough.

At least with the new system if you get a drop on one character that it won't use, there's a chance your alt can, since it's always the same level.

Alts will actually help gear your main in the new system.

So for those of us with 450+ cp we dont have to worry bout true progession for a couple more years?

All we have to do is farm mats every time a new dlc drops lmfao?

    That sounds like fun!

And this point is exactly what I am worried about...I enjoy playing the game's content and not just farming mats

The good news is the next time they raise the cap, you'll probably need 1500 mats per item instead of 150. lol

    Yeah let's not forget that!

There a lack of transparent information about how all these changes will take effect in a DLC that's pending soon.

I don't think it's that different from VR gear updates - i was updating it every couple ranks back when it was going through them took way longer. Top tier gear stopes at 160 cp as far as i understand - just like v16.

Also, if you do not enjoy collecting mats - don't, there's other ways of obtaining new gear. You can do dailies, writs (they give you a reasonable amount of gold on top of sellable items), steal some stuff. Quest on your lowbies - early level gear sells surprisingly well. With all this gold you can order gear or barter it for something.

There will be some grind, but it's up to you to transform it into fun - just do you like and are best at :)
Skye Cloude - Sorc DPS, Master Crafter. Main, the bestest
Lae Lenne - Templar Healer Trial grade.
Dromede - Stamina Nightblade, she's a newb and doesn't know what she's doing
V'oghatta - Stamplar pretending to be a tank
Ulville Thonvella - aspiring Fire Mage, be careful around her fire sticks!
Dromedaris - lost and not found. Named after a shoe, what else can you expect from her? A proper tank in her wildest dreams
Swims-Naked - too pretty to grind, too silly to quest.
Sun Flair - Dunmer Templar that can't spell for life. To bad she's too broke to afford a name change... Well, at least she's pretty...

This is what I am so afraid of. I do not want to have to regrind my monster helms, and re farm to make new armor. It took forever to get the helm I wanted with the trait I wanted, and even worst to get the shoulder I wanted. Just make some kind of improvement item so that instead we farm that and improve our current gear with that according to our VR level. That would be much smoother.

    DONT REPLACE VR16 WITH CP160.
    thats not what we want...

    ELI5,
If I have 2 V16s , maxed CP and a V7... is my V7 essentially going to become the same rank as my V16s?

Given how fast those initial CP come I wouldn't even bother with most low level CP gear as you could potentially outlevel it in an hour.

part of me hopes it doesn't go up by 10 every time but larger jumps. I don't have that many CP but it would give me a reason to get more and stop my altoholic behaviors.

What we hated about Vet ranks is all the grind, and re-gearing and bother between lvl 50 and endgame. Now, they renamed it to CP ranks and it's essentially the same thing.
