Scenarios for small scale PVP

Since they are definateley working on smaller scale PVP, what sort of scenarios would people like?

I would love a 3 way battleground, with 20 a side, with one team holding the keep against the other 2 for 10 minutes, scoring points based on how far they press into the keep. Then switching sides. The two attacking sides would not just be focusing on the keep, they could mess with each other's attacks. It would be carnage, beautiful carnage.

Any one else have any other ideas for 3 way action?

Capture the scroll and a king of the hill/domination style gametype would be cool.

Also, not gametypes exactly, but I want an arena with verticality. Like, a giant tower that groups need to fight their way up with lots of opportunities for death by fall damage etc.

A warsong gulch with scrolls instead of flag. An Arathi Basin capture resources.
PAWS (Positively Against Wrip-off Stuff) - Say No to Crown Crates!

TESO needs a wardrobe system badly. Something similar to WoW's tmog system would make this game one of the best mmorpg out there!

There was a game mode in Rift where you have to carry a crystal(scroll would work here) that damages you and grants you points. This could integrate healers and tanks well into PvP imo.

Another thing that could go well would be a MOBA type arena. Taking down objectives, summoning units, defending your structures. You could "level up" in the game mode by starting at 0 CPs and getting more as you do objectives, destroy structures, have kills etc.

I wouldn't want to see a capture the point game mode. Given the flexibility, I think most people would just go full tank/heal and afk on points. But honestly, I'd take anything.

The most important thing is gear - you shouldn't have to grind for it, especially since this is a mode that requires little time investment in the actual fights. You should be able to equip a PvP specific amulet or something, that has the equivalent stats and effects of a full gear set. This way people can just jump in and enjoy PvP, giving you the possibility to easily try different builds and sets, while keeping PvP fresh for way longer since you can have fun theorycrafting and trying new things.

Capture and hold game modes have always been fun. Not sure how it could be done but Rush mode is probably my all time favorite mode of any FPS game I ever played... especially in Bad Company 2... OMG did I lose countless hours to that game mode.

CTF is tired!!! But I'd still take it.

Arathi Basin and Eye of the Storm were my favorite battle grounds during my WoW days.

Things get interesting with 3 factions though... perhaps you could have a battle ground that only involves 2 factions... and then a battleground that involves all 3 factions?

I think that a very very small scale version of capture and hold would be very very cool. 12 vs 12 vs 12. Anything greater than 12 would just feel like a zerg... and honestly, we really need to have small scale PvP... so, whatever they do, I really hope that teams would be no greater than 12... ideally, 8 would be the max number.

The human brain can process a lot of information... but in reality, when one is bombarded with more information than one can handle, it becomes a hopeless act. One of the reasons why 3 v 3 and 2 v 2 was so popular for arena play in WoW was because you had time to think about things... not tons of time... you still needed to be reactionary and pay attention to what was going on, but it really felt more like you were in control. 5 v 5 was, for the most part, information overload!!!

So, basically, I would hope for small enough scaled PvP that it would allow for timing and reaction. One of the things I look forward to, with small scale PvP, is that most people will be running more single target type builds versus AoE. Being able to focus targets to take them down is where the fun is at!

Three towers- Three bases on either side of the map. Middle of map is a town besieged by imperials, deadra, and undead. Each side needs to fight through the town and each other to get to the other bases, siege them, and capture them. (I know just like AV, hush child)

Siege Mode- Take a keep and cut it down a bit and have a 20 v 20 v 20 double team assault & single team defense. Assault teams start at opposite ends of the base and have to break in and capture the keep. Each assault team needs to prevent the other assault team from taking the base as well. Huge advantage would have to go to the defenders who are out numbered. Sick base design, some high powered artillery etc. The difficult part would be to balancing each side to have the same chance of victory. But, hey, that's a job for someone else, I'm just the guy pitching the idea.

Reverse capture the flag- for smaller 12v12 or so people. One flag in the middle. The team to get the flag and bring back to their base scores. (yes, just like huttball, I thought I told you to hush up)

I was thinking about the Black Garden the other day. Simple as hell and I always had a blast.
