Maintenance for the week of April 6:
• ESO Store and Account System for maintenance – April 8, 9:00AM EDT (13:00 UTC) - 6:00PM EDT (22:00 UTC)
We are currently investigating connection issues some players are having on the European megaservers. We will update as new information becomes available.

Crafting Bag Exclusivity

Crafting Bags allow you to store an unlimited amount of crafting materials without taking up any space. It works like a second bank.

This means all of your ingots, cloth, leather, wood, raw mats, improvement mats, style stones, weapon trait stones, armor trait stones, alcemical plants, alchemical solvents, all food ingredients, all potency/essence/aspect runestones will no longer take up any space whatsoever. This equates to hundreds of slots. For players who hold onto everything, or craft, around the 500+ range. It also stores in a single place so you do not have to store it on separate characters (pack mules) and conveniently have access at all times.

Crafting bags are currently planned to become available for free to ESO+ Subscribers. They will not become available to anyone who is not subscribed. They are not being placed on the Crown Store for a price (like DLC) either.

My Own Opinion (for the individuals who must yell biased poll, I have moved this into its only paragraph) :)
If you need a crafting bag it's essentially "screw your past purchases pay us $15 a month starting now or gtfo" if you aren't subbed/have already purchased the DLCs separatedly (since you would be crazy to sub after purchasing Crowns/DLC already).

ESO+ Members should get some perks for financially supporting the game each month, but I am dead against a 'them and us' culture which restricts items to only a few.

Free to ESO+ but also an option to buy for those ftp

The results of this poll will determine just how out of touch/elitist "sub vs non-sub" these forums are compared to the actual in-game playerbase. Judging from the vMA completion poll, my guess is the first option will be the most popular. We shall see :)

I already bought all the dlc, subbing now would be a waste to the money i spent.

Crafting bags is what everyone has been asking for for a long time so making it only for eso+ members is really cheap.

Just like making race change only for eso+ member, yeah people can survive without a race change, but its a huge quality of like requirement!!

i love ESO+ member since they are the true patriot when its coming to a supportive act towards ESO, but we that not an ESO+ member also support the game in different way, for example i bought IC and TG collector edition just for the sake of support ESO, i';m not even playing on those area

i really hope that ZoS will make the crafting bag as a crown item, put it 5000 crown for a fair price

    Sub vs Non-Sub.

We played since beta and payed ever since. I'm entitled and you're not.

We don't get enough benefits, Crafting Bags which so many have waited for is perfect for a Sub-only feature (say the Subs).

I've consulted with lots of Crafters and players in-game. It's obviously not a very supported concept there. These forums will always include far more of the Subs/long time/high level players. It's why I referenced the vMA poll. A large majority of console players will not pay a subscription. They'll buy it outright. This just makes people really unhappy.

Obviously, yes! Lol. I bought all three DLCs. I bought a mount. I spent a ton of $$$, far more than any game I have ever played. Still have almost 9K Crowns left and will purchase more if necessary. There is exactly a 0% chance of me subbing based on this unfairly sub-only feature.

It is definitely not limited to this game but the MMO sphere in general. Subs have catastrophically failed to support MMO's across the industry with only a handful of exceptions(perhaps less). Yet it is the subs who never fail to accuse, belittle and degrade a large portion of a game's playerbase as if they somehow contribute less. We usually pay a premium for flexibility, and that is why we have chosen to support and spend on games like ESO, but apparently that is not enough. Apparently many feel that their value as an ESO+ subscriber would be less if the rest of us could buy this great feature. They would still get the feature included in their monthly sub along with all the other benefits but they would not feel as special if others could buy access. I have spent the last 10 hours trying to determine a better reason although at this point I'm ready to chalk it up to elitist ***. I might be over-generalizing, but I think that it may be the #1 reason to what is driving such resistance against this feature going in the crown store.

Correct! I could see that ZOS would lock the much-requested Crafting Bags feature behind a $15 monthly subscription the moment I first laid eyes on the grasses of Glenumbra, swinging my Iron Sword in first person at mudcrabs..... Totally.

[i know this reply is not for me, but its also applicable for me

but the reason that me (and probably other player), not subbing to the game is because i dont have Credit Card, thats why i love ZoS to give ability buy crown through steam wallet, and i refill my steam wallet from steam prepaid card
if ZoS not allow us to buy crown by steam wallet, i dunno if i able to buy the dlc/support the game at all

Exactly. Thing is, there is no real justification here. People have wanted this for a very long time. There is a massive amount of crafting materials.

Look at some of the responses already posted. Subs want it to remain exclusive because they are already guaranteed access. People who immediately understood the utter b***s*** here are calling it out. It is unfortunate that these forums cannot represent the actual playerbase in these matters.

See, had this game stayed sub based we would not be having this conversation. Everyone would sub and get the bag.

But because it is a two tier system and you don't have to sub, you of course can just purchase crowns and the DLC separately.

Just because I have subbed from the beginning, it of course in my eyes does not make me a better customer than those who pay for things with crowns. But before this game went B2P, there were loyalty rewards for your subscription for subbing, and this is merely an extension of that.

In my opinion, those who sub stick around longer than those who purchase things with micro transactions. Look at those who have loyally subbed to WoW for 10 years, for example. That is just my opinion and nobody else's. If they put it in the Crown Store too, it would not be an extension of loyalty rewards and a nice perk for being a subscriber. And giving out the odd perk is a nice acknowledgement from ZOS to subscribers.

You can have your opinion. Totally fair.

The issue with this ESO+ Exclusive Loyalty Item and past rewards is:
    1) It drastically improves game experience and convenience. Far more than an extension of old loyalty rewards.
    2) Highly requested for a long time. All players pretty much want it. Little to no players who are Non-Subs will Sub because of one feature (remember, thry didn't Sub DLC access+bunch of ESO+ in-game passives). Rather, they will say "Wow ZOS wtf total b**** move guys.".= very bad for reputation.
    3) Past rewards were fine since they were Mounts/Pets /Costumes. Cosmetics which showed off your loyalty but were no more than that. Perfect. Should continue doing that. NOT this.

As for staying sub-based... well... you wouldn't have gotten console players to stick around long enough to have a full server left in PvP during prime time.

No, I completely agree. If the game had purely stayed sub based as opposed to what it is now, it likely would not still be here. And you are, of course as entitled to your opinions as I am.

I do like it when people here can disagree like adults haha.

To me, I would not say it drastically improves the game experience. It just makes things more convenient - AKA a convenience item. Mules, to me, are a pain so it will make things more convenient.

However, we can certainly merely agree to disagree

Crafting Bags should remain freely accessible to ESO+ members, but also be put up for sale on the Crown Store. Similar to DLC.
So most are happy with the community splitting between subs and nonsubs, which will hate eachother?

What a nice *** about to start :)

The results of this poll will determine just how out of touch/elitist "sub vs non-sub" these forums are compared to the actual in-game playerbase. Judging from the vMA completion poll, my guess is the first option will be the most popular. We shall see :)

How is paying monthly for the game considered "elitist?"
    Sub vs Non-Sub.

We played since beta and payed ever since. I'm entitled and you're not.

We don't get enough benefits, Crafting Bags which so many have waited for is perfect for a Sub-only feature (say the Subs).

I've consulted with lots of Crafters and player in-game. It's not a very supported there. These forums will always include far more of the Subs/long time/high level players. It's why I referenced the vMA poll.

so with that statement your biased and have a vendetta?

Obviously, yes! Lol. I bought all three DLCs. I bought a mount. I spent a ton of $$$, far more than any game I have ever played. Still have almost 9K Crowns left and will purchase more if necessary. There is exactly a 0% chance of me subbing based on this unfairlysub-only feature.

Far more than an extension of loyalty rewards.
    2) Highly requested for a long time. All players pretty much want it. Little to no players who are Non-Subs will Sub because of one item. Rather, they will say "Wow ZOS wtf total b**** move guys.".= very bad for reputation.
    3) Past rewards were fine since they were Mounts/Pets /Costumes. Cosmetics which showed off your loyalty but were no more than that. Perfect.

    Thank you :)

Many people will never act nearly as civil on these forums.

you posted a biased poll, admitted you have a vendetta, and then threw in those terms in your opening statement. sounds like you already have some "baggage". but oh well, enjoy!!!

ESO + needs more perks like the crafting bags since we keep the game running...

@Mojmir The poll isn't biased. It's actually very fair. About as impartial as a poll can get. Even included an "Other" option! :)

Myself having an opinion, and a rightful distaste for a practice which is not only truly unhealthy for ESO, but screws over a massive amount of players, is justified.

You've already stated your inconsiderate standpoint through a few previous comments. Believe me, you're sounding about as much of an entitled Sub vs "Unsub" as I have ever seen before.

I have sub. But if someone else buys it from crown store, it doesn't hurt me at all. Every player is equal.

Thank you for saying this. Not the popular opinion on the forums. You get an Agree from me, and most everyone you'll find in-game, but not here.

Play the game the way you want, and not be forced to be a subscriber virtually for the rest of your life to have access to a feature useful for a huge base of your players.

I'm not the OP. I have no idea what you're talking about. And there's nothing biased about the poll, my side isn't even winning lmao.
