From what I can tell you were concerned with armor colors when upgrading it with mats?

A dye system was added a little over a year. You get dyes from achievements. There are three quality of dyes: Common, Uncommon, and Rare.
    • Common dyes are very bland, desaturated colors. Easy to get.
    • Uncommon dyes are more vibrant colors.
    • And Rare dyes build on top of those colors and makes them even better quality, such as better lighting effects.
And you can apply three colors to each armor piece.

Also you can only dye armor and shields, not weapons.

It's B2P now. I'm assuming you have already spent money on the game and a sub fee is no long required.

If you don't at least log in and see if whatever bothered you before has been changed, that money you spent previously is not being used at all.

Make use of the money you already spent, log in and see if you will enjoy the game.

If you don't like it anymore after trying it again, you didn't lose anything you haven't already paid for.

My main issue was that there was very little difference at end-game with the crafting gear designs from the VR6 normal gear and the VR6 epic gear. So my issue was you bust your butt on end game, craft your supposedly "cool" looking gear as a nice reward, and low and behold, it looks just like the lower-end "normal" gear of the same level.

I also remember gear drops in the dungeons were lousy as well. Point is, did they fix rewarding players for end-game activities? Because before it just didn't seem worth it at all.

You have a good point. I may do just that.

There are [some] unique looking items from the endgame content, but most of the armor styles are still designed to fit within the elder scrolls themes from previous titles.

You're still not going to see a lot of crazy flashy over the top kinds of armor sets like you would in a lot of other MMOs. The styles in this game are still good, but seem like function trumps form.
