Cloaks and Capes ?

Why are motion effected clocks and capes not in TESO ? Certainly they can function on PS4 and Xbox One, specially PC. And I'm not talking about just cloaks behind the back. But cloaks that can drap over ones shoulders with the function to lift and pull up and down the hood, plus throw the draping cloak back to one's back as well. Further capes should be even easier..
So, will you developers ever add capes and cloaks ? And is there a reson not to ?

Hence no cloaks or capes, and not so long ago Gina said that they are not and have no plans to work on or bring them into the game.

The devs have said that to make cloaks etc look good, it would cause havoc with the engine and create more lag.
Hence no cloaks or capes, and not so long ago Gina said that they are not and have no plans to work on or bring them into the game.
I would like to know, why. This is PS4 and Xbox One. Both of which are able to handle it, hardware wise. Must be the lack of enginuity with software to leave something so simple out. I mean they wouldn't even need a cape slot. They could use the already existing shoulders slot and chest piece slot and hang the capes from them.
The cloaks can be a head pieces and as far as functionality goes. The hood can be slotted to are quick select and push up on the Dpad to pull it down and up with the appropriate animation. So a cloak could hang over the shoulders and be pull to the back. When you enter combat or run fast, it is automatically pulled and lowered.
Now you say she said it would play havoc. But she didn't say it can not be done. So they need to find a work around that would work. Then they can sell them to us in the crown store...Edited by SkoomaAddict420 on April 23, 2016 11:22PM0 -

Yeah, this pops up every month or so.
And yeah, the thing is, many people would like claoks, but the developers had a choice between adding crappy cloaks that look like shi... uhm... not very good, and clip through everything, or doing it right and see their game become a lagmire everywhere... so they decided that if they cannot do it -right- they will not do it. And that's the status quo. For now.
Maybe in a couple years, when new server tech makes more things possible... who knows? But for now... "no capes" indeed.0 -

Just because there won't be any capes. Dose not mean there won't be any discussion about capes and cloaks. Don't make a mole hill into a mountain...

Lets face it, ESO's armor and costumes are always going to be mediocre at best, so ability to pimp our mounts would make great way to get even basically. Anything you can imagine, fishing poles, spell books, scrolls, potions, extra shield, weapons, bedrolls, cooking stuff, thieving stuff etc. I think it'd add tons of RPG to the game too, mount tells alot of what kind of character you've.Edited by Sausage on April 24, 2016 12:26PM0 -

Not really, those who would care about the capes are already playing the game, plus would not really be a great advertising point. "Come to ESO, we have capes!" is not really going to attract new players.0
