Good build for dest staff DK dunmer in PvE?

Right now I'm V2 and both of my bars are a mess. I'm planning to respec soon and basically what I'm looking for is a decent PvE DPS build for a DK using destruction staff. It doesn't have to be the best in the world, just something that would be viable for vet dungeons and trials for those later veteran levels. Just got back into eso and would consider myself pretty inexperienced so any tips would also help. Thanks!

If you've got all your abilities and morphs unlocked already, you could try to work towards this build as an endpoint. Remember that trials dps builds usually place their sustain and survival faith into their teammates, so until you're in that situation, slotting in some more defensive skills is just fine.

DK front bar is pretty much set in stone if you are going for the Meta build. I basically never change it in group PvE content.

Destro Staff: whip, burning embers, engulfing flames, elemental blockade, inner light, meteor.

The bread and butter is keeping up the three DoTs (embers, engulfing, blockade) and weaving whip if all your DoTs are ticking. Meteor is really not meant to be cast, it's just there for the magic boost.

You have a few options on your back bar. Most people run a second destro staff, but some people are moving towards dual swords. I am not totally sold on swords, but for AoE, talons with swords hits harder than elemental ring with a staff. Sustain is definitely more of an issue with swords. You could also run a Resto for soloing or if you have a really bad healer, but I don't suggest it.

A few options for back bar skills.
-Always run standard as an ultimate. It's perhaps the best DPS ultimate in the game.
-Eruption, ground bases DOT that is really powerful. This is always on my back bar.
-inner light, always on Back bar for more magic and crit.
-elemental ring or talons. You need one of these unless you are in a true single target fight.
-draw essence. This skill is amazing since they buffed it. It heals, does AOE damage and gives magic back. Don't spam it. You cast and then wait for explosion before recasting. You can get 2 skills in between that time. For example Draw essence, ring, ring, draw essence.
-prox Det. Huge AoE once you get it.
-rearming trap. I run this instead of ring on single target. Boosts your crit, so it's nice.
-crushing shock. Nice range and interupt. I like to slot sometimes if the boss is really mobile, but don't run it most of the time.

Gear is pretty standard. Julianos is better while leveling and anytime you are in a group that isn't running war horn. In a raid setting with war horn up all the time, I believe twice born star is better. Skoria seems to be the monster set of choice and willpower jewelry is best for magic DPS at the moment.

While leveling, I would prob go 5 Julianos, 3 warlock jewelry (not too hard to find v1 stuff in a trader), and 3 piece of either Torugs pact or Magnus. Torugs is more DPS, Magnus is better sustain

Just curious as I can't seem to look it up on my phone, does destructive clench do better single target damage over time (fire obv.) or does woe still provide more as a dot?
