As always, you and I, along with everyone else, will adapt to the changes and will grind for the new best gear.

See, to me, one of the enjoyable aspects of living mmo is the fact that it does change. Adapting to each new environment requires flexibility and analysis and learning new ways to do things.

I expect to adapt to changing rules instead of expecting to lobby to change rules to fit or save "my" BIS.

That how mmo's work nothing stays the same forever, I have played many of them over the years and always changing gear and stats as the game progresses or regresses some time. Got to play smart it and expect things to change, and with a patch to the base game as large as what is coming with the DB, there will be some changes I am sure. I do not have a problem with it, always looking to change things around, helps keep me from getting bored.

I don't have a problem with it changing. Heck. I'll probably like the changes. ZOS just needs to allow us to reset our armor and weapons traits (for free the first time) to keep people from getting financially screwed if their current traits no longer make sense for their armor, build, or play style.

All they need to do is buff up some of the useless traits to offer something desirable.
If Well-Fitted is changed to reduce the cost of Blocking, Sneaking, and Dodge rolling on top of reducing sprinting cost, then it doesn't become such a bad thing to have, especially in PvP where that's all Stamina builds have to defend themselves with.

Weighted has been needing a change since animation cancelling became a thing. It doesn't even work right for what it's suppose to do so ANY alteration to it would be great.

I never liked the all Divines meta so I'm all for a new change should they actually alter the lack luster traits into something useful.

Watch them try to rip us off without a respec again. They OWE us a respec. They used to give a free respec every time they changed skills majorly. This thing about console kids complaining is just a cover. They just want to sell crown respecs. Which is fine when it's a voluntary respec but when ZOS comes in and changes everything, you need a free respec.

Changes are bound to happen and I happily receive them. Yes it costs gold, tempers, mats, etc. to rebuild the char but it also keeps the game alive.

The following text were suggestions towards zos a few months ago written by me and based on the answers by zos u MAY see some of em in db dlc. Most traits have been useless since release and what i posted was just a small part of feedback provided. Can post the full thing if interested. Have fun.

Crafting Traits: Well, this is a thing were a lot of work needs to be done to make em all desireable.
I try to keep this short and this is just me and my guilds impression.

    Armor Traits
Reinforced: Keep it the way it is.

Nirnhoned: Well, the fix was needed and maybe u should raise the value so ppl consider it more to be used.

Sturdy: Right now the most stupid trait u can get. Make stury reduce the effects of Armor and Spellpenetration and ppl may consider it. Make it possible to nearly negate enemy penetration since we got nothing in cp to deal with it, (stuff in cp tress ends up being zero if enemy has max pen and u have max armor)wich makes high armor values unworthy.

    Divines: Keep it.

    Infused: Keep it.

Exploration: well.......no idea how to change this SoB.

Impenetrable: Maybe raise the value a bit.

    Training: Keep it.

Well fitted: Usain Bolt may like this, i dont. Do anything with it ^^.

    Weapon Traits:

    Charged: Do anything with it.

    Defending: Keep it.

    Infused: Keep it.

Nirnhoned: Keep it. Let Nirntraited weapons drop in every content(trials, dungeons ect)

Powered: Make it reduce the enchantment cooldown by 50%.

    Precise: Keep it.

Sharpened: Remove the Spellpen and just keep Armorpen. For Spellpen we have Nirnhoned, and raise the Values to Nirnhoned Level. 18% on Gold irc.

    Training: Keep it.

Weighted: Eiter Raise the speed, or do anything else with it, since animation canceling makes this trait useless, as it was useless before.

That was just my 2cents on the General Stuff that i could think of for now. The Forum is loaded with usefull feedback by so many ppl. Just take the time to read it and may consider some ideas that this cool community has come up with till now and in the future. We all know u got a plan where u want to go with the game, we just like to help to improve it.

Whatever ZOS winds up doing with the trait stones, I hope they make them more valuable and, thus, viable as potential sources of gold income.

Y'know ... making it so trait effects "wear off" and have to be reapplied with new trait stones would partially accomplish that.

Precisely why I'm holding on to my gold julianos set and saving the rest of my dreugh wax until DB drops. I really want to make a divines twice born set but not sure how viable it will be

Yes. It's fine, and true up to a point, to say MMO's need gear changes to give people something to work towards, but for my crafter the bottleneck of gold tempers is such that it's hard to even complete a single new outfit between updates. I would really like to try out different gear combinations at top level, but that's just not on.

Please stop making requests for game features. ZOS have enough bad ideas as it is!

Id happily change builds every dlc if they allowed set upgrades at a cost.

Crazy really for collector players like myself all the current set level system does is force all bar the few to stick to a handful of sets as it becomes so expensive otherwise.

But what does ZOS prefer, diverse builds or forced grind. @ZOS_GinaBruno

Or.... use the next month or two wisely and start preparing yourself now. Save gold, mats, whatever, do it before it's too late.

I personally would like to have around 100 alloys,100 wax, 100 Rosen, several stacks of rubedite, silk, ruby ash, kutas, and atleast 500k - 1 million gold for any crap I need to buy.

Do the grind now so you won't have to worry so much then.

Well fitted - make it like a set. Reduce the cost of sprint / block / roll by 1%. Reduction is doubled for each additional Well Fitted item.

So one item drops cost by 1%
Second item drops cost by 2%
    Third -- 4%
    Fourth -- 8%
    Fifth -- 16%
    Sixth -- 32%
    Seventh -- 64%

Why make it exponential? Because nobody beats a mob by getting out of the way. Because those are valuable slots being used for the purpose of movement, when they could have been used for Precise or Divines or Infused. There's a real sacrifice involved in giving up boosts to damage or armor potential and going with being able to sprint for ten minutes.

Traits needs some luv. DB is probably going to bring changes, didnt they say they are going to raise CP-cap too. Speaking of gear-grind, I hope we grind multiple sets instead of stronger and stronger after each gear, multiple gear-grind is way more casual and noob friendly, hc players can grind multiple gears, when casuals and noobs play with one.

Its good for ZoS to shake up the meta. Every tweak, buff, nerf, ect keeps us on our toes, and always searching for the best build for our play styles. That makes it fun, fresh, and exciting.

As long as they're making a junk trait like Well-Fitted better, and not gimping Reinforced or Sharpened to make sure ALL the traits are worthless, hopefully our current sets won't be ruined.

*Smacks myself awake out of my delusion*

I expect to have to fully re-gear after DB arrives. Have adjusted before, usually for the better; can only hope based on history that we can again. But the GOLD, man! The GOLD! It will be all GONE!!!

Thats what I think too. I'd love to have own armory, where can I choose a gear of a day to use, of course build too. Currently I play with one build and gear, because its so awkward to change your build and gears.

So what I got from this post is that... its ALL conjecture untill it happens... and that as the state of anything in the entire world is in constant change... as with everything else in the entire world... its inevitable that something, somewhere, in this game, is gonna change, including armour and set ups... so basically, keep calm and move along, nothing to see or say here

I really wish they would put matt requirements back to rational levels. 1200 rubedite is ludacrist for a single gear set, before you even get to upgrade costs. I worked out the math and it's like 500k or something for a set of armor it's stupid. You can't test builds at all.

That and they should make traits changeable though somehow...

... you are aware you can farm rubedite for free? Its just a bit of time but easily managable. No need to whine about costs just get working

True, all conjecture but it's very plausible that many people will have to spend up to 500K gold in the near future. A heads up about that is worth mentioning.
