Few things that start to REALLY annoy me:

DC's: yesterday, 9 in an hour, know, I have Fiber, 300MBps down, 50MBps up.
Now three in a row again.

Moronic Insta Kill System on level mobs/bosses: I'm 20, doing a level 18 map dungeon, I take on three NPC's lvl 18.
I take 2 of them down, the last one, and I have about 90% life, insta-kills me with 2K+ damage.
Know, I am an Orc DK WW (I was not in WW shape, as I was building WW up), I wear an 18 green Night Mother set and then some.
Not the best, I admit, but REALLY, ZOS?

Orc (I can only speak for Orc) DK To Hit system: I'm BLOODY known with Elder Scrolls, but the to hit here is just hardly existing.
My ratio, appx, is like 40%.
Again, I am well known with ES combat, not to mention other similar games, but here I can hardly hit a frikken opponent.

Please, ZOS, do tell me what's wrong here?

Sadly I did not see what attack the opponent used.
But he was a fighter type, not a caster nor archer.

Block is a good option usually. Also... technically you should deal enough damage. Although what I learned... Make sure you have an appropriate weapon. Also some enemies can Crit a lot, that means that they can one shot you if your health pool has dropped.

Also... Get out of red circles. You are level 18, maybe take up a ranged weapon for your swap. Also for the love of Mauloch. Use potions ^^

Your skill rotation and timing make a world of difference in this game.

Of course this is all guess work. Without knowing what exactly happened I am not really that helpful. Oh also wear some rings and amulets.

For the record: I did the WW quest at 15, near flawless victory (only got hit ONCE), did Vampire on another character at level 5, flawless victory that one was, so I think, one could say he does know about combat.
I'm "new" here, but absolutely not inexperienced...

Current general consensus is that NPCs can't crit - big hits tend to instead come from interruptible attacks or boss mechanics.

I'm not sure what killed you. Do you have a clip of it or recall what the NPCs were? If you let us know your death recap we'd be able to offer more insight. Only suggestion I have is that your gear durability may have fallen to zero. I've not really noticed any problems with hit boxes on a DK - what skills are you having trouble with?

Also, make sure you have combat cues turned on - if not you won't see charging attacks/AOEs.

Use 2 handed weapon and use skills like brawler(morph of cleave, to be a little tanky) and wrecking blow(morph of uppercut, good dps)

Since, your lvl 20 try your best to lvl up 2h to get access to rally.
If you want DW skill to lvl then slot it in you bar with you 2h skills

1) Sadly not, I hit the R too fast.
2) I keep my gear in good order, can't be that. Each time I cross a Merch, I fix my gear.
3) Actually, not the skill, I kill in a decent manner, for as long as the game doesn't screw with the to hit ratio. It seems hard at times to hit something, though they are RIGHT in front of me, even highligted. And STILL I miss?
4) It's not the killing, it's the mobs one-hitting me, and the inability often to disrupt/block.

I went Dual wield to have bonus from 2 blades instead of one.
Many seem to prefer this, I noticed?

There isn't a "to hit" roll. If you are missing your opponents, they are either using a skill that makes their opponent (ie. you) miss for x number of seconds (this is easy to see if you have scrolling combat text turned on, as you will see MISS MISS MISS MISS instead of damage numbers), dodging (which will show in sct as DODGE), or you are not targeting them properly. Make sure your reticule is on the character you want to hit.

Uhm, I said, the NPC is in front of me, AND he's lit up.
Means I SHOULD be able to hit it.
Even a mammoth is sometimes hard to hit, even though HUGE, within reach, and pointed at.

Again, it's not about me killing them, but them insta-killing me, with no use for Interrupt/Block.

Save for the to-hit ratio.
Even though enemy is right in front of me, lit up, in range, no matter the skill, I do not hit them.
Sodding cheaters.

Go for 2h, its good for lvling up and also in PvP.
Use DW for grinding mobs only, its an AoE excite( steel tornado).
