I would personally not go for a ranged magicka dragonknight. While Lava Whip and it's morphs can be suitably replaced by Force Shock, the other two Ardent Flame abilities that from the basis of a magicka dragonknight cannot. You would be much better off with any other class.

Your must-have skills are: igneous shields (for major mending), healing ward (insta-heal), rapid-regen/healing springs (depends on the conten/group/situation). Nice skills are also siphon spirit and ele-drain for some magicka support. The healer mentioned was also really excited about his trinimac-set. But i think you can use other Sets aswell

Guess I'll play around with it. I was using dual wield on my dk, but I came across an interesting combo someone posted in the pvp forums - a DK used a lightning staff with lightning enchant and would cast wall of storms. The wall would cause enemies to constantly be set off balance (concussion from the enchant/staff attacks, and wall of storms sets concussed enemies off balance constantly), which would let him spam lava lash for repeated heals/higher damage.

I like that combo, at least for pve, so I'm trying to figure out how to set up the rest of the bars. I like playing a support healer in pvp (and even pve), and it seems like DKs have several healing-oriented morphs now, so I figure there's got to be some good destro/resto builds out there for the class, just not as many as there are running shields and dual wield =P
