PC - CONSOLE ACCOUNT TRANSFER.

Hey this is a simple question for ZOS. Im looking to drop PC and go pick up a PS4 very soon but my account has been active since beta/launch on the PC and that is a lot of progress to lose so i was wondering if it is at all possible to get a transfer?

Also to the community reading this do you guys think we should get one chance to transfer our accounts from one to the other?

They specifically stated transfers would never be available again in their promotion for transfers last year.

I think its not so simple as it may seem, I asked transfer from PC to console in Diablo 3 and nothing. You could imagine its not a big deal, especially if we pay, but I suppose its. I would be still playing D3 but now Im not. Maybe Bethesda makes us Doom Diablo clone, it'd be awesome. Just imagine some spinning chainsaw!

While technically it is possible and not really that difficult minus the name/account name conflicts (if someone uses same username/char name as you on another platform) as currently all platforms are not really any different in terms of architecture, not like it used to be with 7th gen.
They might not allow transfers because it can wildly disrupt each other's economies and in-game environments.
Perfect example is ESO PC->Console transfers, for almost a full year they were the richest, most experienced, most advanced than any other console player and it does long term damage. While it may affect a established game a little less, it impacts it nontheless because you are allowing players from the outside, who did not participate in establishing the environment and economy on current platform/server - it will slightly warp it, by bringing in more gold, more goods and everything that comes with it, that normally wouldn't be there. Multiply that small issue with whatever number of players decide to transfer and voila - small issue becomes big, players become disgruntled and problems arise.

So not always it will be due to technical standpoint, usually devs like to keep people in their own environments without outside interference, especially in games where things like economy and in-game business plays a huge part.
