I have done that, but majority of the people I met like that are not very good at the game and can't complete some of the vet dungeons. I don't mind teaching people, but I'm not even that good at the game because I haven't gotten good groups to complete content with. Can't complete content unless the group knows what they're doing. Kind of a catch 22.
Do you queue for random VET?
Usually when we have a good group on Xbox one, we all friend up. Then from time to time we get or send party invites on the console and talk about forming a group in game. I have to assume a similar meet and follow up situation would happen but for DSA and vDSA....I've not seen anyone interested sense pre-IC.
I had some ideas in another post so maybe it's not you not having friends. Some of the content is irrelevant for many players now unless it's updated.
I sometimes queue for a random vet dungeon, but often times it takes too long to get one because I'm a DPS. I've met friends from doing some dungeons and stuff, but most of the times we go our separate ways. It doesn't help that the new people I meet refuse to change their playstyle a bit if we can't beat something. If we can't beat something, wouldn't the ideal option is to change it so you can fix it better?
No, so if I can convey something about the bold part....
Its not up to us to suggest or "get" someone to play differently. At best it just causes arguments and is more than likely a reason you don't have follow-up friend opportunities.
Just go with the flow....if you all get to a point where you can't pass something, excuse yourself and thank everyone for having you. I have found it helps to ask..."what can I do if anything to make this more possible"? Offer to friend when you have the desire and if not, just move on so you can find another group.
I've known people that do this, tell people what to do to help them get better. They were able to get people to play with them because they worked together to get better and for that to happen they changed because they were willing to.

Fair question, although a tad cynical. Maybe it's not obvious....but anyhow, I'd like to make a distinction between "elitists", those who ACT like they're hot ***, and "elites", those who actually faceroll content.MidnightBlue wrote: »Could say the same for elitist players that are judgmental. The next guild could be the one for you. Keep searching. The farming groups you're referring to didn't form over night. Some of us have a friends list accumulated from the last 2 years.MidnightBlue wrote: »I went through so many guilds already. I join and leave and sometimes rejoin the same ones as well. "Elitists", I have found are in the same boat you are. They need a group, most of the time cause no one wants to deal with their ***. This is why you run into them in the LFG tool. Usually, they convince lonely and desperate players to join with them and the group begrudgingly finishes the current dungeon qued, split group immediately after, never to be heard from again. Like begets Like. These people will eventually find enough desperate/degenerate players of the same mindset, though these people are not friends and these types of groups dissolve as quickly as they are formed.
"Elites" are usually long-time players with extensive connections of people they've run with for longer than some ppl have even been playing the game. They have spent the time building their friends list and reap the benefits of doing so. In the groups they have fostered, most often, they are friends and joke around, don't see each other as judging but as healthy competition between friends. But when "Elites" join into pug groups or with people they don't normally run with, this ideology that has become second nature for their groups often comes off as being judgmental to newer, less experienced ppl. To answer your question, it's because they made friends.
Some are real *** obviously, lets call these, "elitist-elites", these people usually have single goal in mind and are so committed to achieving that goal that they and the groups that they play with are willing to look past obvious flaws in human nature. Just like regular "elitists", they form quickly for content to achieve their goal often boiling over in rage quits and petty fights about who died to a world shaper. These groups rarely stand the test of time. This demographic is literally 0.00001% of the population and shouldn't even be considered for the level of play I believe you're referring to.
Well I hope that clears up some. My intent is to give you ideas to successfully form a group that will work for YOU long-term. Finding like minded individuals, being personable and making friends is how its done. Having a large list of even mediocre friends is more sustainable than a short list of high functioning misfits. The next guild could be the one for you. Keep searching. @Xerosus mind if I add you?
To OP: hey bud, Im in the exact same situation. I have been in a few guilds, what I really just want is an active voice chat. I may not know all the dungeons but I can solo vet dungeons (assuming I'd be helpful)
If you come across anything, I'd love to know
