Cyrodiil is BEAUTIFUL... sorta'

I've ran all over the map in Cyrodiil, getting all the skyshards, completing all the delves, and completing all the quets. I have to say, I love the terrain of Cyrodiil... just not the terrain around the main keeps.

In fact, if you go almost anywhere in Cyrodiil, other than the Emperor keeps the terrain is varied in type (cliffs, valleys, etc) and style (winter, swamp, fall). It's really quite cool and there are a lot of areas that would be so much fun in large scale PvP, but all the coolest spots in Cyrodiil are on the fringes of the map. I find the terrain around the Emperor keeps to be the most boring in Cyrodiil. This is not to say there are not some good spots that are fun to fight. It's just that most of the terrain stays pretty flat and the same.

Perhaps they should consider rotating campaign maps. Create more than one campaign map and rotate them out weekly or monthly. Any suggestions?

They need to give us PvP objectives that make us go to these remote spots on the map. If you only go where the PvP action is, you miss out on seeing most of Cyrodiil.

Could not agree more. Cyrodiil is amazing....extremely large, lots of quests, PVP, work as a team as taking/defending keeps and scrolls. So much to do.

But, for two years, many of us have been doing it all, with no fresh content. IC is PvE with gankers, and a dead zone.

PvP has gotten stale and laggy....it's a shame. Taking a break myself, will be back though as it still has it's moments.

I'd rather Cyrodiil look like trash if it'd fix lag.

    Performance over graphics everyday.

But wasn't it lag free before with beautiful graphics?

Yes it was. When it first launched. Go search YouTube videos and see for yourself. There were 100v100v100 and no lag.

Graphics weren't nearly as nice as they are now is the point.

Every bush did not have a shadow..likewise Cyrodiil didn't have as many bushes.

Nor did Cyrodiil have trees that have falling leaves 24/7.

Yeah,I love the look of Cyrodiil. I just wish they hadn't had to take out all of Animals and Torchbugs. Lag is awful anyway, might as well add them back in.

The torchbugs meh... but perhaps new content in the form of "The Great Hunts of Cyrodill"!

    - Daily hunt for a "unique" animal somewhere in Cyrodill. Holding keeps and resources in more areas provides more specific information on location of the target.

Ok,I just went to Cyrodiil to see if you guys w ere talking about the Cyrodiil I went to when first we could.
Yes,it is more beautiful, but it is lifeless pretty much.I'm ingame at the moment riding around to see it,and there just is no life in the entire area. How sad.At lease there used to be deer, etc, but I see nothing pretty much but the land itself and some buildings with a few people near them.

During beta this used to be different, with different styles and landscapes around keeps. However this affected the way a keep could be taken... to a disadvantage of some home keeps.

I can imagine what you would like to see, but knowing that terrain does have an impact on PVP I would rather have it as it is. Changing terrain in this case would be like going back to a unfair situation with some keeps beeing easier to take/ harder to defend then others... if you know the very comforting spots... etc... etc...

If only I could get to these places without spending 50 dollars on crown horse speed upgrades or play the game 60 days on each and every character. I can't even get to the sewers on half my characters because of this. Over half my time in cyrodill is spent riding on my horse all by myself... Yawn yawn oh and now it lags on ps4 when I'm killing npcs away from any pvp action. #slowlylosinghope

Agreed, much of this could be fixed with updated PvP objectives. Rather than just keeps, actually owning towns, even changing up the Emperor keeps.

    not completely lifeless...

I remember skuling around in Cyrodill as a low level, pretty much trying to avoid other playes and get the shards, etc., I came sneaking over a hill and watched as NPC bandits prepared an ambush. They had guys ducking behind tress, etc. Amazing.
