Veteran ranks removal question

Okay. we gonna lose veteran ranks after DB. But thats mean our all char will have the same CP lvl if they reached lvl50? So basicly, if you have 501 cp then your every char will be CP 501? thats just stupid... c'mon there should be an other way then this.

Those who are new or play less will still have to earn more CP to catch-up. Now, if they would just raise or get rid of the CP cap. No matter what, I'm not sticking around for 15 years of CP.

They will raise the CP cap at the same rate they have been raising the level cap since launch, actually a bit faster, something like 50 CP per quarter (XP equivalent to 5 veteran levels if you are enlightened / 20 unenlightened ).

I think it's more a matter of perception. At launch the level cap was V10, but there was no finite progression cap, as with many online games there was always a plan for people to continue progressing indefinitely, raising the level cap from time to time.

With the champion system, you can see into the future what the maximum champion points are based on the current UI, but this can always change. As long as the game is still running well, there will never be a point where the progression just permanently stops and everyone stays at the same level. (Even if it is still running in 15 years)

Yes every character will have the same amount of points unlocked regardless of their level.

That's actually the precise reason they're removing VR, so you don't need to level each character separately after 50. If they wanted to work around that, they would've just kept VR going.

For me that sounds too easy.. all chalange will gone from game into dungeons/bosses and trials. Where is the challange in the questing and zones?

I'd sure like a way to do Cadwell's Silver and Gold on other characters. I enjoy doing them all on 1 character, and love questing. Maybe leave the choice at the end?

This is already how it works, all your characters currently have the same Champion Rank (although some might be closer to earning the next champion point than others).

The idea is the main part of your progression is account-wide, so you can make alts and get into endgame PVE/PVP pretty quickly, just level them to 50 and they will be able to equip endgame gear.

Don't quite understand the question. Why would you be prevented from doing Cadwell's Silver and Gold?

I'd continue doing Cadwell's Silver and Gold on all characters - otherwise you are missing out on a lot of skill points.

Judging by your signature you're salty because you've already leveled 4 characters to Vet16 which was pointless come the next update

What most have missed is this..... no more VR level = -16 skill points and attribute points. So here is a new DLC with another passive skill set, but Zen will be taking away 16 skill points. Assuming former toon is VR 16, this is not at all acceptable.

That said, other than that the DLC is looking good. =)

Leveling VR was not a challenge. Many of us players have 2+ VR16s and thus have over 501 Cps. Leveling VR and going through gold and silver was just a slow down mechanic for players. With battle leveling your level really doesn't matter anyway. Look at the non-vet level 5s in Wrothgar grinding.

They never said they are taking away 16 skill points. I believe they mentioned changing the way we earn them from 1-50 to make up the points.

They aren't taking away the skill points. They will be distributed during the 2-50 levels, so that by level 50, you'll have the same number of points that you do now at VR16.

This doesn't make sense. What am I missing in your post. Characters share CP as it is so what doesn't make sense?

The most important thing is that you can equip end game gear once you hit 50. Cause getting good gear at lower levels than v16 just seemed like a waste!!

your cp is account wide. so each lvl50 char will have the same cp rank. so 501 or whatever how much will be the maximum :P

Once you hit lvl 50, each 10 Cps will get you awarded an "achievement" that will reward you the points you would normally get per the 1-16 VR levels. They are saying 1 VR level is = to 10 CP's.

Yep, no more doing side quest. Only do the main story line quest for the SP's and run around and collect the skyshaards. Side quest are pointless once you hit lvl 50 if you have a caped CP toon on your account.

It depends on how you want to play. Need more CP and hate grinding? Side quests. Want the Tamriel Hero title? Side quests. Want some of the disguises / polymorphs / pets that are hidden throughout the game? Side quests.

Personally, I've done all the side quests a few times over, I have all the disguises and mementos and such. I have the Tamriel Hero title. So yes, on my remaining characters I will be doing the main quests / skyshards / group challenges and moving on. I was under the impression that this was a big motivating factor for VR removal: making the side quests in silver and gold optional. As it stands now they are pretty much mandatory to hit v16 if you don't want to grind.

I have 4 vet 16 char. 2 from them have tamriel hero. all did wrothgar and hews bane and personlly about this anti veteran update im not so happy. i mean its ok but still... everything else then mainstory is becoming pointless to do if you have already more then 500 cp xD. i have 580 currently, so... meh
