NEW: stamblade concept tank / support / dps build

Hi there fellow adventurers and fare thee well. I've just rebuilt my stamblade DPS as a tank / support / dps build and wanted to see what you all thought! I prefer to just post the initial concept so people can go and make the build their own if they so chose, and there's still much work to be done testing different skills / gear sets / attributes and CP's. Here's a rundown of what I'm up to so far (and apologies for the rough display as I'm a luddite):

Primarily the build revolves around keeping the Powerful Assault set proc'd at all times to increase the whole groups dps and heals, and building Ultimate to cast Aggressive Horn as many times as possible during an engagement. This is usually done by using Caltrops at the beginning of a fight and then casting Vigor every 15 seconds to keep it active. Ultimate is gained by using Heroic Slash every 9 seconds and Siphoning Attacks every 4 seconds (passive) along with the Blood Spawn set when it proc's (also boosting my resistances to 32K). Also I have to cast Surprise Attack every 5 seconds to gain the armor and spell resistance bonus (passive), Relentless Focus every 20 seconds and Mirage every 26 seconds for their buffs. Aggressive Horn (which also proc's Powerful Assault) is used once everyone is in combat and then again at the execute phase when I swing bars and use my own Killers Blade with a decent amount of Weapon Damage and Critical rating for a tank, for some really quick execute phases.

Tanking and resource management are ridiculously easy with the 5% cost reduction from the Marksman set, Siphoning Attacks, 1x block cost reduction Jewellery glyph, Cp's in cost reduction and a high Stamina regeneration. I'm having huge amounts of fun with this build as it's something a little different from my usual tank builds and my fellow group members are loving the buffs that I've been giving them (which works out to over 200 weapon / spell damage with their own buffs)

At the moment I'm working on getting a Roar of Alkosh set together to replace the Marksman to test how that can improve my groups dps, and I think it'll compliment the build well, so fingers crossed the last piece drops soon! Hope you like and have fun with it too if you decide to make your own version!

assuming you have Marksmen set on for the 5% stam reduction (as you are not actually using a bow) try swapping that set out for any of the following and see if this helps:
    Roar of Alkosh
    Fasalla's Guile
    Lunar Bastion
    Hicine's Veneer (Saviour's Set)

Yes Powerful Assault only comes in Medium, but with some reinforced pieces / shield, a defending trait on your tanking sword and Major + Minor Resolve / Ward I'm getting to 26K resistances (32K when Blood Spawn proc's) so I'm not finding it a problem running as a medium armor set up at the moment. And it does wonders for the reduction of stamina abilities and weapon critical.

Thanks heaps for your suggestions. These sets are all very good. I never discount anyones advice, and people can tinker and adapt their own version to suit their style of play. The reasons I personally went with Marksman are firstly the stamina regeneration and weapon damage are more in line with what this build is trying to achieve, and I also wanted a set that is easy enough for anyone to attain. For a 5 piece with jewellery I think Marksman is the best choice to fulfil both these roles.

Fasallas Guile and Lunar Bastion are really nice looking tank sets, but are a little TOO tanky for what I'm wanting for the build, but Hircine's Veneer might be nice if you're running with a few Stamina builds.

As I stated in the OP though Roar of Alkosh is the one I'm working towards and I think this will be the cream on the top of this DPS increasing support build. Unfortunately I think it will take some time to get the perfect set (3x jewellery, defending sword, reinforced shield and 2x precise daggers), but it's something I'm working on. So you hit the nail on the head with that one I think.

    thanks again!
