Option to save Character Design Settings Please?

It would be very nice to have some way of saving settings in Character Creation. There would probably have to be a limited number of these sort of ‘personal templates’ you could save, but it would be a useful feature.

- When experimenting with character design, it would be useful to save different configurations to quickly switch between in order to help you decide, because changing one thing such as race, gender, or body type might require many additional tweaks to other settings - making comparison between your different character ideas a much more tedious process

- When searching for / deciding on a name after designing a character you may get logged out for inactivity and have to log in again and try to remember all the settings you chose. Or it may simply take you longer than you intended to design a character and you may need to come back to it later. Sure you can take screenshots or make notes, but having to re-select everything when you come back is annoying and time consuming.

- After creating a character and playing a bit with them, you may decide you want to re-make them as a different class or alliance, or realize that you forgot to select the voice-type or something. Having your settings saved would make the “re-roll” process MUCH less tedious.

- Some people may like to create “alts” that are variations on their main character, or be so pleased with how one character turned out they wish to use it as a base for another character. Having the settings saved in a way that you could select this personal ‘preset’ with one click from say a drop-down menu or something would be very convenient.

I’m sure this has been suggested before and I know it’s not top priority by any means, but I still wanted to bring it up (possibly again).

You can download the program that the ingame face generator is based on. There is a demo mode with it.

Anyway, you can practice on the Facegen, and that can make choosing the settings in game go much faster, either by using it as a guide, or you just learn that the middle third is where to put most of the sliders.

Enjoy the game, life is what you really want to be worried about.

This would be a great feature. I remember Wildstar had something like this where you could tweak all the appearance sliders and the game would generate a long string of characters for copy/pasting. You could come back later and input this string in a field and everything would match up to that particular appearance configuration.

This would be perfect for when the barber shop/appearance change is implemented.

It's funny they never did that...too late for me now, all my characters are done. Probably won't happen just so they get you to buy Barber Scrolls from the Crown Store by letting you make characters with like funny eyebrows or something because you missed a setting and didn't realise it till level 20...and now it's all you can see :p
