Do magicka based dds use Evil Hunter for endgame (vwgt, vicp, vma, vdsa)?

I don't remember reading a magicka build tutorial using evil hunter lately. It used to be so popular against daedric enemies before, is it almost absolete now?

CasNation✭✭✭✭✭Sorry, don't have numbers but for me it is because I don't have space on my bar. Also, back when Evil Hunter was popular we also had soft caps and magicka and stamina pools didn't affect max damage, so Evil Hunter was a great way to boost dps against these targets. Now, it is larely outweighed by other options.
Still a popular stamina build option though.PC NA AD

✭✭✭I have actually seen some (extremely good) magicka dps using it. One magicka templar in particular was pulling over 50k dps in vWGT with it o.O
Personally, I don't run it right now because 1)I don't have space on my bars and 2)I have 9k stamina. I like being able to break free and/or roll dodge at least ONCE if something goes wrong rather than being OOS because I chose to use Evil Hunter.
My guess would be it's still somewhat viable but kind of tricky. And depending on your class and build you might get better results slotting a different skill in its place.0 -
pretzl✭✭✭✭Sorry for the lack of math and numbers, but hopefully I can explain it enough anyways;
Problem with Expert Hunter and it´s morphs is that all of them scale off stamina. This means their damage will also scale off stamina. In most magicka builds, you won´t have enough stamina to make it a viable skill and thus you´re better off using other skills to boost your damage.
Use prismatic weapon enchants instead if you are fighting alot of daedric mobs.CP | Chronically Capped
