@Devs feature request for next DLC: 1-button ROLE switching (forums users plz press agree)

Please introduce role profile template buttons per character so that a player can instantly switch from being a tank to being a healer or a dps by selecting one of 3 possible ROLE buttons. It's been done before in other games and it's rock solid and helps us play alot smoother using the new group finder as well.

Here's a quick summary of what this feature is supposed to do:

When you click on 1 of 3 possible personally customizable ROLE template button, all the settings (CP distibution, active gear, attributes, skill morphs and skill bars...) associated with that specific role are being loaded into your character.

If you want to make a change you just do so and then hit the save button to save that specific role template

That way I would be able to effectively combine more than 1 specialized role on my one and only character rather then either having to create a new one just for that role or respec everything completely for every change (not realistic and way too costly imho) or just try to be a jack of all trades char that does none of the roles properly because of poor CP distribution and gear

ps: I love the smooth graphics in this game with their low requirements and realistic look rather so I don't want to go play the other games that already have had this feature since years

All they need to do is refer to Rift for this. Its a nice feature. But I would prefer having equipment saved in slots to allow quick armor and weapon changes.

That would be awesome, to be able to have multiple skill morphs and different CP distributions. Would love this to be a feature, would make us all that much more versatile.

I know that any class can play any role but as a Templar for sure... to swap from Tank to Healer without gimping both.... amazing.

An addon does this on PC.

It is called Wikkydds Outfitter and it works wonderfully for:
1) save as many different gear configurations
2) save as many different skill bar configurations
3) you can use Wikkydds macros to code 1 an 2 to a single button to make life even easier.

Ok so you can't change CP or attribute points but I guess the main reason for that is that those cost gold to do in this game so the idea is that they don't change much but you can set them in a way to be highly effective in different roles. As an example I have a single set of Cp on my DK that allows me to be a good magicka tank and a good firemage dps just by changing gear and skills. The gear, enchants on the gear and mundus used are what makes this possible.

So with being able to change gear and skill bars only you can be highly effective in at least two roles.

here's a good example of why cp sould be able to attached to a profile because you cannot be high effective in both roles at the same time CP-wise without becoming more of a jack of all trades. I understand that it costs 3000 gold to rethink your CP choices for a given profile, but not do have to pay that cost every time you want to switch role

No I think what the OP is suggesting is an entirely new feature where we could set up different skill morphs and different CP allotments, and join those up to skillbars and gearsets...then be able to switch between those at a button press. We can't do these things atm with addons even, as we're stuck to one skill morph and one CP setup only (or we are forced to respec, and that is definitely not a one button press situation).

I know you acknowledged that this is what he was suggesting, but I think the OP's idea is an idea worth discussing

REALLY?
That ain't even a game!

But enough of that, Elder Scrolls was about being one thing, and specialize in that to have the best of that what you picked to be.
They simply carried that on into here, which is a logical decision, to me.

So sadly, I have to say no, here...

Even because someone said WoW. :P
