Coldharbour and Craglorn: Merged Faction zones?

You can already group up with players from the other two factions when joining groups with Random Dungeon Finder. Then there are some zones out there that are "neutral" in terms they don't relate to the following story of your faction's quest lines and are shared abroad with all 3 factions, at this time such non-DLC zones such as Coldharbour and Craglorn are some examples.
Just to be clear this change would have no effect on Guild Traders in these zones, you will still see Guild Traders from your own faction within these zones and will not have a bidding war against the other two factions. The only difference is you can now start seeing and group up with players from all 3 factions in these specific zones only, no PvP aspect involved.

- I don't want it to get so crowded it is hard to complete quests, etc. as it sometimes is in other PVE areas. So assuming they have a way to keep that to a reasonable level, sure. In fact, I find Craiglorn has the opposite problem -- not enough others to group with to complete the group quests so this could actually help there.
- Keep an eye on lag. I don't want the lag that makes some places unplayable but I also don't want to be alone out there no matter how good the performance. If I wanted that I would just go back to playing Skyrim.
Other than that, sounds like more fun.
EDIT: Also, harvesting nodes would need to scale their refresh rate to accommodate the added population, especially since there are some rare resources that need to be harvested there. I should have added to the main post, but I was thinking that harvesting nodes, heavy sacks, crates, barrels, bags, and chests would be faction specific as well. Once someone on your faction only has looted that spot does it vanish or become empty. If a chest happens to spawn for all 3 factions in the same location, one person from each faction can open their own separate chest without affecting the other faction players.
Of course I would have no control over what happens if ZoS does put such zones as faction neutral, they may make the resources faction specific or first come, first serve.

✭✭✭✭✭Yes to both!Well in any case this would be very beneficial for Craglorn when trying to find players to help collect the Sky Shards, get those Dungeon Achievements, and any Group required quests done when you have a larger pool of players from all 3 factions joining together. Not everyone goes there anymore, but you do have a handful from each faction does make up for those numbers.1 -

Plus, as I said, the mechanism for scaling already exists so it would be easier to implement. And I don't really see the advantage of "1 for each faction" over "3, first come" or just a higher spawn rate.

TheRubiksCube✭✭✭Yes to both!There are some pretty cool people on other factions. In the past, I really hated AD because of the gate camping they did in the first campaign I played in, but when I played on my AD character, I realized they aren't as bad as I think they are.
On Xbox NA, I met a DC who rolled in EP on his non vet and he initially thought the people in EP were going to be rude to him. From what I've heard from one ex-DC player, he said that the people on DC do their best to vilify EP as much as possible.
By having a zone where all factions can come together peacefully, I think we can allow what I'd like to call the purists, who are people who will never make a character on another alliance, to interact with people from other alliances, so there isn't as much hatred for other factions.

✭✭✭✭✭Yes to both!Lag should not be too much of an issue if the zones remain PvE. I would hope anyway. Hews Bane did not lag at launch when it was crowded, nor did Orinium at first. Although I do see lag in Orsinium, it seems to be much worse when I am in a Pug Group doing WB DailiesEnjoy the game, life is what you really want to be worried about.

✭✭✭✭✭OtherI chose other only because I'm thinking Yes to group delves or trials in Craglorn and if there was a way to change the zone by # of players, then yes to questing but only in Craglorn. but if no limits then no cause Crag really should be limited by faction of not player amount, but I'm not sure that it wouldn't be over crowded.
So just crag and Coldharbor would need something worth grouping for as I think I ran solo and duo every time other than the dungeon which now we queue for.-PC (PTS)/Xbox One: NewBlacksmurf
