Locking an item in the bank

It's probably been discussed before, but one thing that I liked about Destiny was the ability to lock an item, so you didn't accidently trash it.
The thing is, that items in the bank show up during deconstruct, which is kinda annoying at times. Especially if you just bought a nirnhoned weapon (for research) and accidently trash it when emptying out 100+ trash items. A simple option that would lock it or at least toggle if it was visible during decontruct would be fantastic.

I'll assume you are not on PC, as there are addons for that.

I agree that it should be something in the base game. Even though I'm on PC, I hate having to download and install addons for features that should be built-in.

I think that's part of the reason ZOS allowed add ons. So they don't have to actually code it themselves

Create a mule and store the things you don't want to decon. It's not exactly convenient, but it'll prevent you from deconning things you don't want to.

I currently have two mules - one for gear to be researched, the other for gear I want to keep/play around with, but that I don't use on a regular basis. Having a gear lock would be wonderful - I could then actually use those character I have as mules. Yes, on PC there are addons, but mistakes can still happen even with that. on console its a crap shoot if you don't have a mule - having to keep lists, etc at your beck and call to know what you need to keep for research, etc.

Problem is a mule defeats the purpose of the bank. Also I have 5 (almost 6) v16, a magicka dragonknight at v8 and a baby sorc I am currently trying to level, so I don't have a spare slot for a mule. And yes, I play Xbox, so no addons.

Addons can promote a sense of flase security too. If you're not careful, a game hotfix could break an addon, and then there goes your "locked" items. This is something that should have been in the base game since launch. It's a standard feature in any other online game and even most single player RPG's.

Previously discussed, not in game currently, and much needed. We need to be able to put a lock on ANY item, not just those banked. I accidentally destroyed 10 perfect roe attempting to split the stack.
