I'm thinking of re rolling to sorc from a stamplar. I don't last long in fights and run out of stamina to fast trying to block inc damage.

Imo Sorcerers. Sorcerers are beasts now and can do anything. Nightblades are good too, but require a different style. Both will be better than stamplar!

Situational. NBs can survive even when a Sorc has no chance to even escape and vice versa. Due to the nature of a NBs defense, it's probably harder for a NB to deal with counters, but also easier to pull off things the same player wouldn't manage with a Sorc.

For me it depends on level, Sorc once leveled definately has some power - and wards to defend themselves, however on cake fest I leveled my Stam NB and boy during the early content I felt way less squishy. Depends what ur up to and build etc.

Also as a DPS Sorc in PvP, templars I struggle to kill the most of all when they spam heal.

But stamplar can't spam only vigor but it's a hot so not hard to burn through. I am going Dunmer sorc. I like the race and like playing as a wizard in fantasy games.

Noob sorcs shiled stack, all that time wasted spamming harness and healing ward. Not needed. Proper sorcs use just one...the proper one. OT magika NBs are pretty beast and heal for days but takes practice to master. Sorcing is pretty easy so long as you don't listen to noobs telling you to run healing ward and waste weeks changing bars every 5s. None of them help when a shield breaking hero comes along.

Magplar is fun but I'm an Imperial so stamina is a better choice.

Having all three shields on your bars means you can use the one that is most beneficial when needed plus you always have one on the bar you are on. Weapon swapping is animation cancelled easily at the cost of the fraction of a second. And Having Healing Ward is a great idea against Shieldbreaker even when using more skills to deal with it. But yeah, I'm a noob and no proper Sorc, thanks for reminding me. ^^

dont rely soley on stamina abilities, throw a cpl of magicka spells on your bar. repentance helps too.

In dps build - sorcs both magika and stamina are better.
In tanky build magika NB can be competive for better resource managment, so sorcs better survive short burst dmg but magika NB better survive long-long fight.

I see some Mag NB hitting like a truck, fearing when in danger, disapearing at will and taking a beating from 4 people w/o loosing a chunk of health.
    NB are absolutely not OP....
Sorry for the rant but as far as am concerned they are the plague of Ciro and shoulld be nerfed into oblivion.
On my last death cap beeing hit by 6 diferent players, 5 of them were NB.

I would go out and say, my magblade has better survivability than my sorc. I can fully negate incoming hard hits by cloaking all the time, very fast sneak speed allows to reposition on the fly and confuse enemies whereas sorc is always visible and predictable.
While sorc shields might help negate huge damage head to head, NB can negate them fully by hitting cloak (20% dodge chance also helps).
Nb has smaller burst, but has very good buffs and debuffs, and attack-weaving with staff, and long rage Dot's and CC are key to success.

And obviously is sh*t hits the fan, cloak and run away xD

I used to be a sorcerer player mainly, now my magblade has taken the favourite magicka role (and no, I don't play cheesebomb VD+Alchemist combo), followed by templar. Only playing sorc every now and then.

Warfare (i.e. pvp) is all about killing the other guys while minimizing your own losses. Stealth attacks and hit and run tactics are one of the best ways to go about doing that, and nightblades capitalize on those tactics perfectly.

Stop blaming the class and start blaming yourself for not using the counters. Run magelight or flare, Save your CC break for the fear, stay out of melee range.

in other words: deal with it.

Make sure you have enough sustain to always have Stamina. Having high Max Stamina makes this much easier to manage. Also, as a Stamplar you will need to dodge + heal through damage, not block all of it. If you block it all your Stamina will drain really fast!

Your Stamplar should also gain resources from using Repentance+the other morph

    @Gothlander
"Magplar" is NOT a thing; Please don't.

As all others have stated, I can attest to the survivability of Sorcs.
Hardened Ward with CP into Bastion, Power Surge provides self heal, Dark Magic passives heal you, Thundering Presence is a great buff, Pet heals and tanking, etc..
It's really no contest. The sorc has more and better forms of survivability and is in my opinion the best and easiest class to solo with.

NBs make better tanks than sorcs. So with this in mind I'm gonna say NB. As others have said though; depends on the situation. In pvp when cloak works NBs will find it easier to survive, as soon as cloak is countered though sorcs have the survivability advantage.

So much talks about cloak.. Really does anyone use it in mass PvP? With new radiant maglight mechs it's totaly useless. Hysteria is much more effective for defence and for offence. May be it can help for ganking lonely players, but in mass fight you loose one slot with this skill.
