A Good Chart Listing All Class and Race Traits

Hey all,

I'm totally lost here because of the differences I'm constantly running into about the 1.5 vs. the 1.6 patch update, and aren't we past all that anyway with the latest patches...which only compounds the problem more—finding up-to-date info is a bit harder than running into all the old stuff on the Net.

So, what I'd like to know is, is there a simple, to-the-point but thorough chart listing the pros and cons of each Class and Race? This would make it so much easier when trying to pair the two. Just a simple but thorough listing of what's what and what's not what.

Thanks

Thanks, Laksikus, but this isn't what I'm after; this is skills related.
I'm looking for something that lists the pros and cons of the Classes so that I can quickly pair that with the pros and cons of a Race.

I want to be able to look at, say, a Sorc, see it's pros and cons (or if nothing else just what it is along with its strengths) and then pass over to the Classes to see what best fits (again, by seeing pros and cons or at least strengths) with what I want to play.

I mean, surely, there's got to be some sort of chart out there that makes this a hek of a lot easier than having spend so much time scouring the Net.

    Not really...

Races that complement classes, in order, in my opinion

Magica Sorcerer: High elf, Breton, Dumner
    Stamina Sorcerer: Orc, Redguard, Imperial

    Magica templar: Breton, high elf
    Stamina templar: Redguard, Orc, Imperial

    Magica nightblade: breton, high elf
    Stamina Nightblade: Redguard, wood elf

Magica Dragonknight: Dumner, high elf, Breton
    Stamina Dragonknight: Redguard. Orc, imperial

Going into why would take a lot longer. You will have to do some research into classes and races and you'll see what the benefits are.

If you have a particular class in mind, I can go into detail about that and why I think my race choice fits it

Oh, what do you know, Brrrofski! I mean, all you have is a bunch of V16 toons! (Just kidding ya!)

Well, you've give the results of pairing, for sure, and I'm going to make a note of those, but man, you'd think by now there's be some sort of quick reference that lists the basic strengths (if not the pros and cons) of the Classes and Races.

    Really remarkable.

I guess the last question is, if there's no such a chart, are the main sites on ESO, such as Elderscrollsonline.wiki, en.uesp.net/wiki and elderscrolls.wikia up to date on their Class and Race info? Because if they're not, I give up: I'll play a weak, pathetic Breton who doesn't even like the Templars but, for some unknown reason from ancient history, had to go with it! (Actually, that's what I'm playing right now.)

    Well, thanks. I appreciate it.

Well breton templar is a fine choice if you're magica. It's between that and high elf.

Both get 10% max magica which is the main thing. High elf get's regen, Breton reduction, but they can be made up for with champion points. High elf has extra elemental damage but only ice comet and destro staff atracks will benefit on a templar (if you even use destro which most don't). Templar has extra spell resistance which can be a nice bonus but again, CP can kinda make that up. But you do sacrifice crit resist or physical damage reduction slightly.

The main thing is the max magica which both get.

Pros and cons of magica templars..

Pros: amazing healing (plus a great cleanse), really strong melee range dps (sweeps heals you too), really strong range dps (dark flare, Radiant Opression), good CCs (javelin has good range now too) awesome in groups and strong enough to play solo.

Cons: lack of mobility (the only genuine issue templars have imo), horrible class ultimates (especially in pvp), no class spell damage buff, gap closer (toppling charge) is still bugged and doesn't work 100% of the time.

There is no quick guide because there's too many factors. Some things do work better than others, but ultimately, it comes down to how you play and what suits your style.
