While it might be fun t o have a combat assistant,it wouldnt bee fair to others q who might not have one.Cos I am sure they would not be cheap to buy at all.

I think the idea and existence of permanent assistants is terrible and will prove to be bad for the game in the long run. If we get them I hope they're temporary hireable assistants.

What ESO really needs is an Auction Horse.
That's right... Horse.

Even if they were added to the game I wouldn't use them. Sorcerer pets are about as close as I'll ever get to using combat assistants.
If other people feel the need to use them it's "whatever", but I think using them, even for single player content would just neuter any potential challenge the game currently offers and effectively ruins any feelings of accomplishment for me.
I've tried to even consider this idea, but no. I just can't. It defeats the purpose of a MMO, which is to bring people together to beat content, not driving them apart and play by yourself. You could say you want to be able to play by yourself if you want to, well, to that I say that you already can. My main character is a tank and I have no issue in completing VR4 quests filled with swarms of mobs, even though I deal almost no damage at all.
Another point is, no matter how you look at it, when you offer a purchasable feature that aids you in game and offers a considerable advantage over those who don't have access to it you're basically offering a P2W feature. You could add the assistants as a quest reward like you said, but how hard would they have to be to get? And, if you can farm, grind and collect achievements in order to get access to assistants, why would you even need them in the first place?
Eh. I'm not too picky unless it screws up the game for others(increases lag). Obviously no in pvp/group content, but level 40 dolmens/world bosses/public dungeons in each faction are harder to find group mates for, so I wouldn't be put-out if they allowed them in the open world.
PC/NA: Primarily Daggerfall Covenant.
Lennie: Breton Sorceror. 9-trait crafter on everything, purveyor of useless frippery.
Getting guildies and other players for dungeons at 2am is challenging.
Even prime time you cant always find someone who isnt busy anyway..let alone 3+ others.
Then you have the DPS who pretend tanks players with the grouping tool etc.
AI groupies will also never be as effective as a group of 4 real players........normally
A lot of content cant be soloed so needs assistance.
So I see no problem with class based PvE assistants....as long as they arent 'too' good and they also replace group members.
ie 2 ai + 2 players for 4 man is OK.. but not 4 players + 4 AI for 4 man.
