No score in maelstrom possible? (PS4)

Hey guys im a maelstrom noob so I'm not well versed in its ways. I just finished my first ever Vet Maelstrom run and it never showed a counter during the run at the bottom of my screen and at the end it didnt give me a score either. What's up with that? I see people on the leaderboards with scores as low as 364 but I cant find mine anywhere.

Thanks! Ran it a second time right after and got a 350k score, not too bad for my first score compared to othrs
