We were both sorcs with pets. We both unsummoned our pets, turned in our quests, then noticed we were riding the same way for the quest to kill undead near Cropsford. We kept pets off and finished it together. Went back, turned in our quests, emoted waving goodbye, and went on our separate ways.
Just yesterday I was in Cheydinhal turning in a quest. I hear a horse behind me and see an enemy Dragonknight (lvl 29) stop short of me and stare. I am a v16 magicka sorc and am not so big a jerk that I am goin to gank some poor guy just trying to quest, so I wave at him. He stares at me some more and then decides it would be a good idea to try to kill me.
I drop him to 5% and then stop attacking, crossing my swords and jump up and down. He still doesn't understand I don't really want to kill him and keeps atracking, so he eats a Dawnbreaker instead.

On the other end of the spectrum I was running around with one of my low end mules gathering some low level treasure maps and I saw someone get killed by a World Boss in Zone 1. So, I offered some help and gave him some gear I had looted that was on their level. I took down the boss with him. I then showed him how to do rotations and weave in light and heavy attacks. It was an eye opener for this player. He was so grateful for the help as he had been struggling with the game.
I much prefer the second kind of interaction.
