Attention all random dungeon PUG leaders!

Now, take a look at the roles of your fellow adventurers. You'll notice that one individual seems to have both tank and DPS checked off. Strange, as those roles are typically very different in what is required. They must be...

A FREELOADER! Kick them and find a replacement, hopefully one that did not cheat the system. Stick out your chest with pride for thwarting a freeloader today!

Except some people genuinely CAN do multiple roles. One of my toons is specced for all three, in fact. Just a gentle reminder to all us PUG leaders to do everyone a favor and ask first.

Almost all of my characters are currently set up to do 2 different roles. My 2 VR16s are each set up to do all 3. All it takes is a quick gear swap and a quick swap of slotted skills and I'm good to go.

I can do that on all my toons too but we are the far and few between. Id say maybe a ratio of 1/10. Most people I know who tell me they can do both roles are either oblivious or lying. Ie: I had this sorc who just did a skill swap and tried to heal a trial with 5/5 juli.....

But if you can do multi roles,why cant the one you just said to kick out?
How do you know they cant do it as well as you can?

But if you can do multi roles,why cant the one you just said to kick out?
How do you know they cant do it as well as you can?

You missed his point. He wasn't actually recommending that people kick those who queue as 2 or 3 roles - he was showing that attitude and then showing why it's the wrong attitude to have.

A leader does not kick. A leader uses the mass of players given and forge it into a team. If and when he cannot do it, he resigns and pass on the leadership.

A boss kicks and sets up rules and regulations that nobody will follow. And in any case like this, the first one who breaks the rule is actually... the boss.

Hm... I actually wonder now how it is possible to do 3 roles at once, and which class could do this. The only class that comes mind is the sorcerer, although I am not saying it can't be done with classes. As for why I think a sorcerer, it is because they can: Heal via Twilight, tank via Clanfeer and or shields/wards, and deal damage through a variety of means.

Being set up so you can do all 3 roles on one character is easy. Being set up so you can do all 3 roles on one character at once is a recipe for failure at all of them.

I was about to reply with an opposing opinion and then reread it again. I agree.
