Maintenance for the week of June 1:

I want to see ZoS live stream some of their employees playing PvP.

I sincerely don't think the people at ZOS even play their own game sometimes - at least not in PvP. I would love to see ZOS employees out in PvP (vet CP campaign during prime time) and would love to see them live stream it. ArenaNet employees would appear and play with guilds from time to time in GW2 and while they typically drew more attention than usual overall it was a pleasant experience.

So why not? Talk to some of the community guild leaders and schedule some time to play PvP with them. Running solo would obviously just invite stream snipers so run with a couple of the guilds. I would love to see the reaction to a lot of the issues that plague us. Maybe it would help you reproduce those issues you can't seem to reproduce despite it affecting people every day.

I'm sure a lot of people would like to see vet MA as well.

Nothing like ZOS cursing about flowers spawning under the dome, invisible arrows and something dragging you (round 3) which you can't CC break. And then looting arcane Para bellum ring in the end

Why would they get upset about loot when they can just "gift" themselves the best loot? :D

I don't care about whether or not they play well. Plenty of players make "bad" decisions for their character. I am interested in watching them play with the issues running rampant this patch in hopes they better empathize with their player base.

For example, it just blows my mind that almost every gap closer in the game fails 25% of the time AT LEAST. Not fixing that in an incremental patch, let a lone hotfixing it, screams "it doesn't sound that bad" but really it is incredibly frustrating since having a gap closer is very important for melee range builds.

I feel if ZOS employees played their own game in PvP then they would be able to better understand these issues and why they are causing people to leave.

Seems like some people feel similarly to VMA, although I can't speak to that it paints a picture that endgame content takes second seat to quests, chests, and people not even vet.

They do seem to be out of touch a bit with their own game, relying on twitchers and us sending the videos of issues they seem to not be able to recreate on the in house server.
They really should have some one play more on the live server.

I wouldn't want them to live stream pvp gameplay because ESO live doesn't take place during NA PC primetime. In addition, you know there would be players on the opposing faction doing everything in their power to hunt down the devs and any groups they joined.

Instead, I would like the devs to record themselves pvping a few days before the ESO live episode, that way they can edit out any names or language they deem necessary.

I'd want multiple devs playing on different factions, and in different groups during this recording. They should type "lfg, have TS" in zone in order to join groups of players who are semi organized. They don't have to speak in TS, or in group chat if they don't want to, but they should attempt to follow the leader's orders. These are things they've said they do already, but it would be a lot of fun to actually watch them grouped with players.

During the next episode of ESO live, they could show a 20-30 minute clip from the recording, with commentary from the featured devs, and then play the whole recording once the show is over. The only edits should be censoring out player names and bad language; because it's a pre recorded session, viewers can skip through parts of the video during which the dev's group is taking a short break. If there were four devs posting during the session, it would be easy enough to split the screen into four windows so that all of the recordings could be viewed at the same time.

Doing videos like these before each ESO live episode would be a nice day to remind players that you are playing the game with them. It may also encourage groups to pickup players who are lfg in zone chat.

Also, dev commentary on @Publius_Scipio would be greatly appreciated.

I don't see the point, if all they do is join a big zerg up in Cyrodiil. If they really want to find out what PvP hell is like, the devs should try grinding solo (or duo at the most) in the IC sewers. Then they'll find out what it's like to be gap-closed to death with unbreakable CC.... or proxy detted in the middle of a mob pull... or killed by the so-called "zerg-buster" set, Vicious Death, when your "zerg" is only TWO people!

I don't have the IC DLC, so I can't comment on how different it would be compared to sillydiil pvp; but I don't see why they couldn't do recordings for different pvp scenarios.

Joining the zerg seems like the easiest scenario to record. My pvp guild tends to run larger groups when a lot of our regular members are on, and I know we're generally not opposed to picking up pugs who are willing to get in TS and do their best to contribute. Everyone has to start somewhere, and we figure picking up pugs is a good way to help introduce newer players to pvp.

In addition, I don't know of any small scale groups who pickup pugs from zone. Not to mention, from recordings we've seen of the devs playing the game, I don't know if they could function in small scale groups.
