Unable to PAY BOUNTY when arriving Wayshrines - when trading with players - when shopping in guild

QQ ---- I hate the way you guys plant goods at guild stores so that your click on the guild merchant ends up stealing items instead... real nice touch guys.

But you could at least allow exit from the buy/sale screen - so that when a guard happens to be there - you get NO opportunity to pay the bounty. You hear the sound played when you get the choice screen from the guard (but don't see it) and then you are killed. Your application does not allow getting the screen choice for flight or paying the bounty.

I'm picturing you guys grouping around a display and watching videos of people who get caught in this and die over the course of your day. Got any stats on which guild store is the best one for your sick game?

Come on - play nice and fix this
- drop the Wayshrine arrival screen and allow us to pay the bounty;
- drop the trade with another player screen and allow us to pay the bounty;
- drop the guild selection screen and let us pay the bounty;
- drop the buy / sell screen with a merchant and let us pay the bounty

Thanks

    So...Bounty = wanted by the law

    The goal is to not be found or seen.

    Simple fix, make sure the area is clear before entering into vendor dialogue and such. While I agree the guard's dialogue should become what we see on the screen, one should not be caught to begin with.

    Missed my point guys --- I wasn't trying to steal -- I was trying to interact with the Guild Merchant. The mouse click hit a background item that was instantly picked up (single items are instantly picked up this way). I quickly clicked on the merchant and started to search for an item I wanted - when the guard rolled me.

    I wasn't trying to steal -- it just happened.

    My point -- if they are going to set this up, then at least get the interaction with the guards working.

    When the guild traders first came out, their stalls were all Statics, objects you could see but not interact with. When we got World Objects like being able to pick up items, they included them around the traders. Unfortunately, they did not remove all of these world objects, although they did remove some with the Justice System. I have accidentally clicked on something when going to talk to a trader or even turn in a writ a few times. What amazes me, is more than half the time, no crime gets reported. I even look around for the guard and then realize I have no bounty.

    I have just had to learn that if I see Red, don't click. I also tend to use Guild Traders that do not have a lot of statics around them. The ones in Sentinel and Mournhold seem to the worst for this. Most other trader areas, it is easy to not click on the owned objects.
    Enjoy the game, life is what you really want to be worried about.

    Thanks, Nestor.

    LOL == my shopping rotations (when searching for items I may buy) always tend to involve trips to both Sentinel and Mournhold - and my issue occurred in Mournhold.

    Mournhold is a much more active community area - far different than the ambience of Sentinel. I experience some lag in Mounhold at times when it gets crowded around the Wayshine and the Guild merchants there. Seeing Red is not easy in this location due to lag and due to the wild antics of the community spamming their powers and skills everywhere. They seem to be having a lot of fun in doing this ;-).

    I am trying to create a new habit when interacting with NPCs at Wayshrines and other locations where there are statics in their background. I don't click anywhere near the statics now and that seems to have solved my problem. \

    This happens to me in Mournhold too. It's definitely a party town so it's easy to get distracted and click at the wrong moment. The guards are of course right there hovering over your shoulder just waiting for it.

    I had this issue with the Crafting Writ Drop Off Locations. Id run out to drop something in a box and because Im on Console the X button indicator on the screen can get a little fidgety if theres something close to where Im pointing. Ended up stealing staves all the time when all I wanted to do was drop a bow or shield into the box. When I complained about it here I got the same response from the same type of plebes youre getting responses from. "DONT STEAL AND YOU WONT HAVE THE PROBLEM". When the real problem is that items that can be stolen are left ontop of interactable objects and NPCs that you MUST interact with to reach whatever goal it is youre attempting. And all it takes is the slightest hiccup or some fidgety button for you to suddenly become a thief when all you meant to do was complete a quest or search for a item in a store.

    It doesnt even have to be directly in front of you for wonky things to occur. I dont know how many times Ive been in a Delve looking directly at a Mob and go to fire off an ability and somehow a squeal from a rat behind me can be heard. Sometimes the game just doesnt want to cooperate. And its frustrating.
