Old content definitely needed to have incentive added to it, but that doesn't mean that it is okay that they chose the absolute laziest approach they could come up with. It is pure laziness to have all endgame raid content giving rewards from the same pool of gear. Even worst MMOs I've played at least bother to make each piece of endgame provide unique rewards. The AA weekly should give V16 AA gear, and vice versa for each trial.timidobserver wrote: »People that face roll through AA and HelRa on a few alts every week have more and better quality vMoL gear than the people actually killing bosses in vMoL.
Hmm. On one side, for players that aren't interested in running old content any longer, that can be a bit of a dig. On the other, they're encouraging raiding with the weekly setup, right? By incentivizing easier raid content, it gives groups something to do while they work on their coordination and builds, I think.

It doesn't even make sense to faceroll through V12/v14 raid content and get a V16 raid content reward of higher quality than you would get for actually doing said V16 raid content.

I've received quite a lot of garbage, though nothing so glorious as a bow of Moondancer/Twilight Remedy.
It seems the actual drops from the trial are far more reasonable as I got two armour drops from the two encounters I have done on veteran, as well as what I have heard from a lot of my friends.
I already have 5 pieces of the Moodancer set, but three of the pieces aren't items I would use. It has a really good 5 piece effect though. I can't wait until I actually have 5 armour pieces that go with my current setup.
And while the loot table is far too ridiculous, I don't really mind it. The actual trial is really well-designed and fun, which can't really be said about Sanctum Ophidia, which is extremely poor designed and is a pain in the ass to grind for gear (back when that was a thing).
I'd agree that the in-trial drops seem to have a bit more logic to them, though admittedly I haven't seen the final chest. Would any Hodor members care to reveal whether the mismatched weapons we've seen on the weekly rewards are kept by Rakkhat?
And yea, the Trial itself is really fun.
