i played on na a bit too. na is a freaking ghost town and for every good player on na you find 10 on eu. not even a contest. on avarage players may or may not be better on eu (at least on eu you have encounter way more very strong players) but it is certainly close on avarage player quality. it seems on na you have more small complete pug groups running around smth i do not see that often on eu.

I liked the start that was awesome. I didn't feel like watching it all since quite long but i can tell you are a great player.

I absolutely enjoyed this from the start to the end.

Would you mind if I borrow this build ?

I never actually played magicka NB but I played all classes and I'm always open for variety.

Um..... how does your hp not move even an inch with 7+ people beating on at around 7:00? WTF is that just like lag or a de sync or something? I mean you don't even have any resources to cast anything at that point, man that is sketchy as hell. Or are they really just that bad? I need that *** explained.

I liked this. It's a clever build. Stacking 3 DoTs (all high damage) tends to kill people pretty reliably lol. I also love how many Magicka NB will say Shadow Image is useless.

Blobs, you did great in these vids. Unique builds that work are fun to watch.

Note: My favorite NB skills --> Shadow Image and Crippling Grasp

Malubeth + Sap is enormous healing - Malubeth procs a huge heal in itseld and increases my healing by 30%. For as long as a malubeth beam is up, it is very hard to kill. Same is true if I have a tether up, its near impossible to kill for that duration of healing

Question:

How much durability do you feel you are giving up by not wearing much impen, since Winterborne does not come in impen? I have experimented with an ice staff + Winterborne sap heal-tanking build very much like this one before, but I ended up moving back to crafted sets and a fire staff for open world. With impen, you can run without all of the prismatic glyphs, resulting in higher max magicka for more damage, and comparable if not higher durability despite lower max health. If you keep the prismatics, your durability is quite high. I've been running staffblade with impen Twilight's Embrace, and the durability and extra healing are insane.

The extra damage of a fire staff makes up for dropping Winterborne procs too. The only thing that I miss from running the ice staff is the large AoE snare. However, I found that Cripple or simply playing in close quarters, which where the build thrives anyway, makes the ice snare unnecessary. If the enemy wants to hit you, they'll have to stand in that fire AoE. Also rip vampires.

Oh, and have you tried running Refreshing Path instead of Cripple in open world?

1) I think impen is hugely over-valued compared to resource management, but that is personal preference
2) I'd run tri-glyphs on 100% of my builds - the damage is still plenty, I can take down some of the best sorcs so the damage is certainly enough - durability is definately not better as being able to rolldodge even as Mag in 1vX is such a huge help
3) Ice + winterborn is definately better running dots appropriately. I can proc ice pillars almost every second with path+reach dots +light attack on them
4) Cripple is quite essential if a good sorc gets involved in 1vX as we need it to break the shields - path was nice but my preference is cripple

All these "best 1vX ever" claims are getting old, though. You're good, Blobs, but your videos haven't looked any different from other top 1vX clips that I've seen posted here. You also end up dying in some of these clips against numbers that others have killed. Some of NA video makers also stream and if you watch the stream they have 3-4 hard fails for every success, and omg great footage (which goes into the video) comes once a week or two when they run into a minizerg of lowbies and PvE'rs.

Now don't get me wrong, NA playes >> EU players. Just not for the reasons you posted.

Oh I'm well aware of that. My point was that his best highlight footage looks just like everyone else's best highlight footage, so repetitive "best ever" claims were getting to be over the top.

I still never said 'best ever', I said most intense which isn't close to meaning that - I have ALWAYS stood that top 1vXers are impossible to compare. Glad you enjoy the content... oh wait.

What I think is kind of lame is players who dedicate a large percentage of their time trying to manufacture entertaining clips -- as opposed to just saving interesting footage from normal gameplay.

In fairness these clips only took 2 streams to get, and include a good 50% of my fights, but I don't think ANYBODY wants to see clips where a 60man train runs over you in 5 seconds
