Actually,you can stack the cake with the scrolls.I did it and it showed up in both my XP and on the character window as working.

If players were working or otherwise tied up 9 days straight then I get that.

Problem is ... I don't think very many players fall into that category.

You'd be surprised how many players didn't have a whole lotta time to take advantage of the xp. I actually primarily play in the morning, I have class from 1-2, then I pick my kids up from school. And I spend my evenings with my wife. I managed to get my lvl 20 stam dk up to mid v9, but I was hoping that I could get to at least v12 today, but thanks to this maintenance that won't happen.

The fact of the matter is that if they hadn't have messed up the cake xp stacking in the FIRST place we wouldn't all be complaining right now that we got our actual 7th day of cake completely cut off. There is 5 hours until the event ends, and still no ETA on NA maintenance. By the time the servers are back up and the patch downloaded most people will probably have 2 hours of the event left. So ZoS actually gave us a 6 day event and not a full 7 day one. So, yes, it is perfectly fine for people to be unhappy about this.

@ZOS_GinaBruno any way we're going to get the cake buff extended to make up for this?

Don't be a hater or a whiner. I wasn't the one that laid out the rules for the cake. If you tell me I'll get so and so for a period of time, then keep your word. In the Army, we call it, an Integrity Check. If you say you're gonna do something, there is no excuse for you not doing it, in the time frame in which you said you were going to do it. Not a hard concept to grasp...well in your case maybe so.
