I finally have some time to enjoy cake week and now my main character is stuck in Wrothgar. I can't do anything. Game crashes immediately as Orsinium loads in. Please help.

ESO Support, any comments? Will this issue be fixed soon? I've read of others having this exact issue. Is it a resource issue on your VMs? Orsinium was always glitchy and slow but now it's crashing. Is it just extra traffic due to cake week?

These two steps helped me when I was having loading problems in Orsinium:

    1. You may need to clear the cache by clearing your MAC address. Not change, but clear your MAC address. It will clear the cache and force a reboot. It won't change any network settings:

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=W5d7qbqWDa8

    2. Delete your local save game data for ESO. This will not erase your data. The data is on the ESO servers. Find your ESO game on your Xbox main screen, choose game options. Find the save game data and delete from just your local Xbox. When you load up ESO, the game will re-sync your save game data.

ESO Support doesn't give two ****s about you or me. The only way you'll get issues resolved is to see how other gamers used work arounds like this. ESO Support refuses to admit that Orsinium/Wrothgar is buggy and repeatedly boots people at random and spontaneous moments. If you put in a ticket they will put the blame on your connection, giving you detailed instructions on how to change settings on your router, contact Microsoft, or contact your internet provider. Despite the fact that no other games boot players out, players have good internet connections, and other games/apps play just fine. They insist the problem is on the gamer's end and should rearrange his/her router settings, not knowing how this will affect other devices or games you already connect with.

Everybody who plays this game knows that the Orsinium DLC is buggy. And the developers do know this, but refuse to admit or fix. Orsinium has been booting people randomly and repeatedly since day 1. I can't wait to try out the Hews Bane area.

Thanks. I was able to get out by quickly switching to my map and fast traveling out of there. While my main was stuck I played a couple of alts, one in Daggerfall and the other in Ebonhart. I noticed both of those zones were very buggy in their starter zones. I never noticed this in AD. But then again I haven't had any reason to go back to those earlier zones. Has the new DLC caused this I wonder.

Yes, Vulkhel Guard was very laggy last night. I think there are a lot of new toons in these starter areas. It was even affecting my ability to scroll mail. I ported go Cadwell Gold area and it was much smoother.

Same thing happened to me when I was trying to confront the traitor (follow the stink trail) apparently that quest is causing boot to home screen for several people.

It took me 4 days trying 10 times a day to actually have enough time to zone out before the crash to home screen.

I've demanded compensation via EXP scrolls from my customer service, but I don't expect that they or any of the @ZOS_GinaBruno folks are willing to do anything about it.

I just came back to the game a couple months ago after a 10 month break, and have had several game breaking issues. Considering canceling my ESO PLUS membership again for good this time and spending my game time, and money elsewhere. This particular interaction with customer service will likely be a deciding factor.

In fact it's been 3 days since I filed that ticket, and they haven't even given me the automated reply. Perhaps that's a response in itself???
