The main chunk of maintenance time was figuring out how to disable the cakes from use at the appropriate time.

Gina stated a short time ago that they had ran into a technical problem and were still trying to resolve it. However, the client is currently downloading update now.

Gina had also stated a short while back that the speed issue would be fixed in the next MAJOR update- in other words- when DB launches.

That's pretty decent patch if they happened weekly or Bi weekly.

The long maintenance window wasnt based on patch size. Give them a tiny bit of credit.
