✭When ZOS announced maintenance was going to be longer than normal that automatically put maintenance at 6 to 8 hours.
What gets me is ZOS's pathetic player or customer service. There is no reason to keep folks in the dark during long maintenance and not tell them whats going on or what is being worked on.
Why they always wait to post the patch notes till the server is back up has always been a mystery to me.4 -

I use to think the same but then on ESO Live, they started introducing staff and as they talk....server status isn't posted by those folks. It's posted for the PR and Forum
Managers who aren't doing any updating or patching.
I'm sure when servers are up, those working on them have to email or follow some work queue process for a notification of success or notification with XYZ.....the XYZ is what the forum staff literally works to type but until it's up....they can't post and I'm sure it's not O K for them to walk into the server rooms and stand there with a laptop asking.....are we there yet?

Ehh. I kind of don't blame them. One time we got patch notes and when everyone got on it was quickly realized the only thing that "stuck" was an emote fix. Lol. There were riots. Although maybe not as big of riot as when you couldn't scroll over or for some people, even look at a recipe. Both of the IT people took a late lunch. When they got back, they realized one of them had misplaced the megaserver. They are retracing their steps back to the restaurant.
