IC was dropping frames/lagging like crazy.

There wasn't any maintenance on the game servers today, so you wouldn't notice any improvements in the known problems like lag. Today's maintenance was on the login servers, which handles the account system, and the interactions between PSN, XBL, ZOS and the wider internet. If you are already logged in during login/account maintenance, you don't even get kicked out, as the login servers are used exactly and only for that - logging in.

ZoS mentions the lag issue on almost every ESO Live episode. In a recent episode, they detailed their plan and the steps they are taking, have taken, and are planning to take to try to solve the lag issue. Along with a plan to improve the technical side of the server, they are also trying to implement abilities and gear to try to change the way people pvp currently. They hope both these layers of their plan combine to help improve the performance and stability of their servers.

Whether you like their plan or not, you cannot say they dont have one, that they dont care, or that they are doing nothing.
