only if its flagged as fraudlent. I doubt it would be if you just wanted a refund because you didnt like the game.

Good point, but I wonder if that matters to those who are seeking a refund anyway. Typically taking that sort of action as a customer implies a lack of desire to ever purchase content from that entity again anyway. Take Watch Dogs for example, which was virtually unplayable by half of their PC customer base (which wasn't ever addressed btw, they rolled out fixes for people who got stuck at 99% complete, but never bothered to help the customers who couldn't even start the game without it crashing). I have no intention of buying a Ubisoft game again, so in my case it wouldn't matter if they banned my card or not. Plus, I have another card :)

I asked a refund via a ticket a while ago because I simply can't play the same game I was running just fine a year ago, I think it would be pretty fair since now suddenly they raised the minimum requirements for the game. I just can't play. You say I should write to that email?

Since the European Commission notice appears at the bottom of the screenshot this person is presumably in the EU, which means depending on the situation ZOS may have been legally required to give a refund.

(The same might well be true in other regions too, but I'm not as familiar with consumer law outside the EU as it's usually not my problem.)

lol getting a refund is beyond stupid no offence towards your friend OP.

    Keep the following in mind:

You lose your account with all your chars on it ( so all those hours of progress ect. )
If the game ever improves ( which it probably will, i.e. the bugs get fixed ) and now you want to play you have to buy the game again and start fresh... yay we all love starting fresh with nothing.

So many points I can make on this but in short.

Having the account static is better than asking your money back just because a single patch ruined a game. By that logic your friend should literally be refunded of all games currently available and sell his gaming rig & if he has any his consoles too.

Ok, just to clarify even in the EU you can't simply ask for a refund at any time, for any reason you feel like and expect to get it, it works like any other product - if you buy something and it's faulty (as in actual faulty - your disk can't be read kind of fault, not 'this game is boring'), or if you change your mind within a few days (in some cases the product also has to be unused or still in a saleable condition) you should get it. But if you bought a game, played it for weeks or months and then just decided you were bored and wanted to buy something else instead you'd be told you'd gotten full use of the product and there was no reason for it.

In this case we can see he bought the game on the 20th January this year, and it's the only thing on his billing history (the EU Commission notice is always at the bottom of the page, under everything you've bought) so it's likely he requested a refund very soon after buying the game.

And yes of course you'll be locked out of your account (effectively banned). Just like if you bought clothes and asked for a refund you'd have to give them back to the shop you bought them from. You're saying you don't want the product afterall, not simply that you've decided you'd rather have it for free.

    yet he is not banned
and he can redeem another key to play again

i think his hero in this case will be on the same level and not deleted

You probably screwed him over by posting that. It's kind of ridiculous ZOS gave him a refund considering he had the game for quite a bit of time.
