Happy Cake Levelling

Did anyone else gorge on cake and level like crazy. I was thrilled to get my baby Dragon Knight to Vet, gain a couple Vet levels here and there and get a bunch of CPs. I will be going through cake withdrawl soon.

Cake questing felt like what VR questing should be at during normal XP... I could actually see my bar move when I turned in a quest at VR10 lol.

Made new char to vet9 maybe today vet11-12. Could be even v16 but I lose fast the fun if the grinding spot is full.

Started a new character specifically for the cake XP boost, from level 1 to 38 in just a few solid days of gameplay, mostly questing

actually revived a lot of fun in the game for me, it was so fresh to start again on a character! Gotta love the cake!

I also helped my son level a low DK and just *** dolmens and WBs was levelling him so fast it was amazing. I was giggling.

I used it mainly for CP gain. I was about 3 CP over cap at start, am now 23 CP over cap. If I just use up inspiration every day, I might be at the NEXT cap right when Dark Brotherhood drops. The cake was a huge help there.

God was nice to get decent xp on a vet toon. Got my aspiring fledgling dk up to v8, hoping to get to at least v12 before it's over. Not much free time left though

Level'd my alt from v3 to v15 with the cake.
Today I'll hit vet16, with Jone and Jode at my side.

Eventhough I knew it was a long process to cut through vet lvls, it's been a real pain in the a__ nonetheless, even with double xp.

Never again I will level another char to the max, not until DB, at least.

Nice for getting my first to V16 - alts I don't really care about, don't want to out-level the content more than the game already allows. Plus they will all be "max-level" by the end of Q3 most likely with the removal of the Vet ranks, don't see the point of grinding any alt Vet levels unless you plan on using them end-game tout-suite.

What has been great for me, actually:

I put one skill point in all weapon trees (I am mag, always have been)
I made a back-bar of just wpn skills (2hd, dw, bow, etc.)
I just quest, switch to backbar for turn in, replace skills when a line hits 50, etc.
I even morphed the major ones (rally, tornado, etc) so they were lvl 4
Also, I have been deconstructing like a mad man

So, my main is over lvl 45 now in all skill lines and all crafting lines. Plan on being lvl 50 in everything by Tue night.

*exception is enchanting, man that one is a killer to lvl.

Now I got a toon that can role-play magica or stamin and craft anything as well.

Once Vet lvls go away, you can make an end-game player in a matter of days for the folks that need to fotm.

The cake leveling is great, my only concern is how long will tomorrows downtime for the patch be. If it's only an hour or two, that won't be bad. But if it goes on untill 4 or 5 pm (us est), there will be alot of unhappy people.

As for me, I rushed because I know there will be games I really want to play on PS4 next quarter (one of them just drops tomorrow, guess which one it is) so I'll be toning down drastically my time spent in Tamriel.

I'm really fond to that alt, couldn't bear to know I left him incomplete XD

I really enjoyed this event! I managed to get 3 more alts to lvl 50 so I'll have 6 Max level characters once DB launches!

Unfortunately, I have a dissertation deadline fast approaching and could only spend a little time online, mostly over the weekend. Sigh. I don't think I'll get another chance before it's over.

I compensated for this by enjoying cake and using exp scrolls. I still managed 16 levels (under 50) in about nine hours.

Made a new char ... I don't remember when I made him. I think first week of April? Got him to level 40 pre cake event. Hes on VR 11 right now in Ailk'r Aldmeri Gold. Mashing is your friend for sure since I got most of my EXP through the quest lines. Most I got from a quest was... 81k? Big quest lines drop like.. 61k? And smaller ones like... 33k and 19k. If all goes well... I expect VR14 tonight if I can manage 1 VR rank every 1hr and 30 minutes.

I did not think I could level that fast with cake and EXP scrolls. I even skipped Shadowfen and part of Stormhaven.

Good times. 2 characters 5ish-50. Just running dungeons once we got to 10. Hopefully the dungeon queues stay low after xp buff goes away. As a dps near instant queues are glorious.

This is exactly how I have been feeling with the cake XP boost.

I think the XP boost should be effectively permanent, at least for vet level characters.

I finally have a max level character now thanks to the cake incentive and a fair bit of grinding. I wanted to get a character maxed before VR ranks are removed, and now I don't have to sweat that anymore. Having played ESO addictively for almost a year now, I just never found a character I was excited about leveling much beyond 50... even my VR10 Sorc got boring. However, my new Stamina Sorc is awesome and I am having a blast playing him, so it was no chore, even with the grinding, to stay enthusiastic about leveling him.

Even my level 23 DK crafter, whom I never thought I'd be excited about again after losing interest in playing a DK shortly after starting ESO, is now up to VR2... and I had a blast leveling him. So while the cake XP buff was the original incentive, I can thank ZOS for helping re-inspire me about a previously shelved character that I never thought I'd play again.

Finally have AD and DC alts.

AD to vet1 from creation. On the downside v1 in Coldharbor means most overland mobs give no XP.
DC to 10 from creation, gonna get as much as I can before I go back to snail's pace leveling.

When exactly does it end? Tuesday night would be nice.

Got my v7 alt to v16, and got my lvl20 alt to v6. Hopefully this v6 alt will v12 or v13 by the time this ends.. Unlikely though cause I'll only get a couple of hours of playing time in the next two days..
