Eh, Sorry guys...apparently it didn't record that well lol.... Anyway. the overload bug is where overload simply doesn't work. the only way to fix it is to die. or logging in and out (which would kick you from a pvp server) and it is the most inconvenient thing in the world when your supposed to be on a burn team in MOL, on a boss in VMA, a group of NB WB spammers are on you, Or when your simply out of magick.

Just saying this bug has been around for months and months. it does the animation. no bolts of lightning go out, spirit fingers go up, but no force lightning, ult does not go down...and you can't use the ult. The everyday bug fix of crouch, block, dodge roll, drink a potion, swap bars, jump, then /reloadui doesn't work in this case. And nothing is more infuriating then being in VMA, trying to go for your deathless, and this bug occurs.

I'm glad you posted this. I have used it on my stam sorc and just assumed it was some sort of lag problem I was having until I made a magicka sorc last week and discovered that upon hitting vet 3 and actually trying to fight something dangerous that having this ability fizzle out mid-fight is not a spectacular way to find yourself peering much more closely at the dirt than I had planned.

Overload in general is a POS and I think they should at least fix it if they're going to make a class reliant on it.

Many people don't get "why" we're reliant upon it.

Because it is the only "real" class skill we can use to get magicka back (stacking dps based sets we basically got negative regen lol)

It's our burst sustained damage. Normally a sorcs damage is all over the place. I am anywhere from 10k-25k dps depending on crits and the group. Overload is the only thing that will give me consistent dps over a period of time.

Our other ultimate's suck! Negate can be "broken out of" to literally "negate" it's effects so you can cast inside of it. and lets admit it. it doesn't do really anything. Atronoch is our other ultimate and 99% of players will CC it, or simply just walk out of range of it.... The damage isn't enough to kill players either (even with the 40% boost from curse), it's immobile, and it misfires and doesn't even spawn while still costing ultimate if you are on the fly and try to cast it on an odd surface, + no body uses it's synergy... perhaps if it had a bigger duration for that synergy and a much bigger synergy range.

So.... we're left with non class ultimates of meteor (aoe cap is too small and the skill can be blocked, dodged, and mitigated to the point it does practically nothing), Smite (which is amazing, but requires you to run up to melee range and is easily dodged.) , Bat swarm (which requires you to level the skill line, look terrible, and take the fire resistance nerf to the face), Soulstrike (which players can cloak out of, and LOS out of, and it only attacks 1 person.) and non- of these are going to make your sustained damage any better, nor replenish your resource pools.

For these reasons, and more. We as a class are pretty much cornered into cookie cutter builds. Not saying we can't do niche builds and branch out. But when we show up for a VET MOL there really is only 1 acceptable dps build. And to have that build randomly go "non-functional" is complete BS. it's been going on for months.
