Banker Assistant - Only Bank?

Probably been asked before, but for 5000 crowns, shouldnt the assistant banker give you access to the guild bank and your guild's store?

Its pretty useless, or at least WAY overpriced, for just plain bank access. We can access all our banks at a normal banker but the one we buy for $40 cant access anything but our personal bank?

Ripoff imo.

You can buy 2 dlc for the price of the banker and merchant each lol
Its hilarious and also funny that they dont let you repair at merchant or access guild bank at banker
Id buy them if they did but nope
You also cant use them in pvp which sucks
May the Schwartz be with you.

    I bought it.
    Love it.
    Impacts playtime favorably every outting.
    More time doing fun.

As for guild bank, have couple alts I am not actively running at the moment still napping in bank like they always did.

All the active chars throw stuff into my bank on the fly, no side trips back into town.

Then, when looks like I have guiding to do, next login, I wake up one of the napped at login. Does business seeing all the stuff that needs guilding, not piecemeal.

Then load the actives and fun commences.

Ymmv but before I bought it and saw the actual in game impacts, it looked too high to me too.

The merchant doesn't even have a "sell all junk" option like normal merchants, or indeed sell basic pots or repair kits etc. She sells nothing. All you can do with her is literally sell your items one by one. I hope zos are open to buffing their functionality, cos right now the merchant isn't even a quality of life improvement.

The banker is more useful imo, but guild bank access would have been nice. I can sort of see why they didn't include guild store access though.

I was reading mostly bad reviews on the bank guy, but I bought it anyway. It is such a time saver. 5000 is a bit steep, but not having loading screens and leaving a good spot to go unload in town is almost worth it. I do wish it was only about 2.5k - 3k though. As for the merchant I will eventually do the quest line int TG to get it. If it can not repair (also unsure, but think they can not do stolen stuff or can only do stolen, don't remember what was said) it is not worth the price for what little the merchant does.

I have multiple characters and the time-saved using the banker assistant when doing writs is enormous. Is the banker assistant expensive? Yes. But I so appreciate having him on-hand when delivering writs and realizing I missed an item. Or being out in the field and needing to unload inventory. So for me it was worth the cost. (N.B., It also helped that there was a 40% crown store crown sale just before this item became available. The way I look at it is that I purchased it for 3,000 crowns.) If you need on-the-fly inventory management, the banker assistant is a viable solution.

    Here are some further thoughts.

On the matter of the merchant, I could not bring myself to purchase an assistant where the transactions were one-sided. You can only sell. If only you could purchase repair kits! Anyway, merchants can be found traveling throughout the roads of Tamriel.

As for the fence you can win by completing the Thieves Guild DLC, I understand that you can fence items on demand. But that they will take a 35% cut of the sale! Not a great deal in my opinion.

35% may sound alot but if you have the increase price passives and are stuck somewhere with a high bounty you can offload your gear so the guards take nothing... If you play thief jobs alot 35% is nothing compared to losing everything!

It's been pointed out that if you have an addon that auto-repairs when talking to merchants, that the crown bought merchant will also repair your gear only in this manner. The functionality for it to repair is actively there, they just disabled the button for you to do so for whatever reason.

Man I'm telling you....these assistants are way over priced and far under the value ZOS has placed on them in terms of crowns. But for 5k! The assistants should be combined as far as the services and the models should be what we pick (they still need to add in at lease guild bank and repairs if not guild store too)

    ANd no use in Cyrodil.....cmon.
The issue is that lets shouldn't cause lag so assistants, yep.
Well, let's first understand that no one is buying these for the pet feature @ZOS so why in the heck does not using this assistant in situations when in Cyrodil not allow the opener to access it?

Whatever command prompts the interface to open is what should occur in Cyrodil.
I'm not sure how complex that is to build but ZOS has got to get out of the box they are in which will mean some drastic changes but pricing things at 5k and then only allowing them for circumstantial use is a big concern of most players.
Like the cake.....u make it a momento instead of a consumable item so now it can't be used in Cyrodil??????!!!!???? How does that even pass you own QnA when building ideas?

The only assistant I'd ever buy is a crafting assistant that allows me to access all sets that I can craft. Otherwise every assistant they are making is poop. They can easily be irrelevant by the use of a wayshrine to Rawl.

The banker and merchant are both handy, but really should be feature complete...I would imagine more people will buy them once the banker has guild bank and guild shop functionality, and the merchant can also repair our items.

Yup, well aware the bank only did personal banks. Been enjoying it quite a bit. Future characters that are currently mules now live by the stable instead of the bank so I can up their training daily. If I forget stuff in the bank mid-dungeon (Oh man, I though I had more Ambrosia!) just open my bank...

I've been doing a lot of alt hopping and inventory shuffling this week. I'm happy with my purchase.

    IMO

    The fence was itself free.
To me, trading a little in game gold for more me playtime by avoiding the den trips whenever inventory runs out or capture is risk... well worth it.

For instance, selling thru fence cheap but numerous items like ingredients or picks minimizes risk, minimizes loss AND helps maximize legerd skill raise. Wish I had him when I had to spend much time back n forth getting one char to leg20.

With Smiley, my new fence, mostly I have been holding out the green and blue stuff for den sales for full gold.

But less time travelling for bookkeeping means more play time.

I tried that, and unless there is a special addon that is the only one that makes this work like this, the auto repair addons do not make that merchant repair your stuff.

The fact that neither the banker nor merchant have full functionality is the reason I won't buy them. Especially not at those vastly inflated prices. They also don't work in Cyrodil.

Not worth the crowns. I have max bag space on all my characters so I rarely have to go back to town. When I do need a merchant, there are plenty in game to use and they repair armor. With the merch assistant, I would have to find one to repair anyway so what's the point? The bank assistant would be more convenient but since I only need the bank once every few hours typically, it's not worth the crowns.

It's the new thing a lot of MMO's are doing to make extra money. Over price a new product, then slowly lower the price through sales from time to time. Early adopters are willing to buy, then others will buy during the sales.
