i5 @ 2.9ghz
W7 64b
16 GB Ram
SSD main drive (game installed on a WD Caviar Black secondary)
Radeon r9 200 4GB
Running on mostly High settings
When playing the 32 bit client, I get about 50-75fps our in normal zones
Cyrodiil small/mid battles It drops to 30-40
Here's my problem
Once there is more than about 15 people on each side, fps tanks to about 15-20
Which SHOULD be playable, but at that point I also get horrible screenfreezes for 2-3 seconds.
Ping is about 300-500
Take for example an epic battle at a scroll last night... 30+ EP VS a similar number of AD
I rez at home base, start to move and I get a freeze, there's maybe 10 people in viewable distance, but everything freezes for 2 seconds, and then returns to normal.
I start to run there...along the way I go from 50fps, to 15 fps, quick freeze (again with almost nobody around) and then back to 30 fps...
I join the fight, There's a lot of people and a lot going on, but I'm holding at 15-20 FPS and it's no "freezing" This last about a minute, then as some EP make their way to my position, things get choppy, freeze for 5 seoncond, I end up dead, but as soon as I'm dead, everything is smooth. In fact, aboutr 20 EP end up fighting on my body against another 20 AD and everything is smooth...35+FPS and no choppiness/freezes....but I'm dead.
I feel like there's a bottleneck or something going on. I shouldn't be getting these hard freezes. Thing is, it only happens in Cyrodiil. I can got to Reaper's March at prime time, there can be 50+ there, using spells, and my client is fine at about 40 fps and there's not stuttering or freezes.
Is it lag spikes? Not getting data so it just freezes everything? I know the difference between FPS and lag....in other games lag looked every different...you could still move and try to do abilities, but it would be like time froze for everybody but you..in this games does it freeze you too?
Suggestions welcome. I've read a few posts on here with people with other issues, but dont want to just start blindly changing things that may not help.
Thanks in advance!
