What's your favorite in-game book?

Happy weekend everyone!

Ever take a moment from collecting skillpoints to read those books in game, or visit a fan website to check them out? Do you have a favorite? Why?

For me, my favorite is "I Was Summoned by a Mortal" by Kynval Zzedenkathik which tells the story of a daedra being ripped from his plane to serve a mage for a brief while. It's kind of funny to think about summoning from the other side of things!

Thanks for your replies!

Not really a book but I remember my first time playing there was a delve (I have no idea where) with a Khajiit boss at the end of it, and a bunch of dead spider corpses in the same room.

The note in the boss room reads something like ''a nightblade came and killed my babies''

It actually takes the players class and assigns it to that variable in the note. I thought it was an awesome detail.

I'm between Confessions of a Khajiit Fur Trader and I Was Summoned By A Mortal.

I throughly enjoyed Telenger the Artificer's book about the time he watched "The Lusty Argonian Maid" play, and his considerations on it.
Just so that everyone knows, my Altmer still can't have black hair. About a dozen of Altmer NPCs in the game have black hair. Just saying.

    Meet my characters:
    Command: Do the thing.

Zadarri, Khajiit Fist of Thalmor: The thing was done, as commanded.
Durza gra-Maghul, Orc blacksmith: The thing was done perfectly, in the most efficient way.
Tegwen, Bosmer troublemaker: You can't prove I didn't do the thing.
Sings-Many-Songs, Argonian fisher: Sure, I'll do the thing... Eventually. Maybe.
Aerindel, Altmer stormcaller: After extensive research, I've come to the conclusion that doing the thing would be a waste of resources.
Liliel, Dunmer pyromancer: Aerindel said I shouldn't do the thing. Something about "resources".
Gyda Snowcaller, Nord cryomancer: I will find a way to do it that won't waste resources and make Aerindel proud of me.
Beatrice Leoriane, Breton vampire: I persuaded someone else into doing the thing. You are welcome, dear.
Sahima, Redguard performer: Doing the thing sounds awfully unpleasant and really not my problem.
Ellaria Valerius, Imperial priestess: I'll pray to the Eight for the thing to be done, if it is Their will.

I like the diplomatic notice in an AD camp detailing how the altmer should deal with their new allies.

    Points include
    Don't pull a khajiit's tail
    Don't feed them cat food
Don't cut down a tree in front of a bosmer and
Don't ask a bosmer how to cook khajiit.

More of a scroll than a book (but categorised as a book, I think): 'Tale of Two Moons', which is a Khajiit poem about changing moon phases and seasons. It has a certain charm and appeal. I try to read as many of the in-game books as I can.

    A tale of two moons

As the sky falls white on Elsweyr
When the frost forms on the lake
When the fires blaze in brightness
When old bones begin to ache
Then cats cast off their budis
And fur keeps out the cold
And small moon chases big moon
    And tells him secrets old
But then blue skies o'er Elsweyr
    When rivers stream with light
    When fires die in ashes
    When youth again takes flight
    Then cats rewrap their budis
And comb out rich, thick manes
And big moon chases small moon
And frees her from her chains

Not sure if they are in ESO (some books do cross over from the TES games, but some also don't), but I'm a really big fan of Fall of the Snow Prince and the Biographies of Barenziah (but I doubt all of these are in ESO since there are quite many in the series).

Hmmm... well, I have to agree with some of the people here that "I was summoned by a mortal" is definitely one of the highlights I found memorable... though I have to admit, I also found those "Confessions of a Khajiit Fur Trader" to be darkly amusing. Would be hard to choose between the two, though I would go with the daedric tale myself...
I also enjoyed the lorebooks, such as the tale of "The Battle at Red Mountain", though those are more background and hardly viable as "favorite"...

However, as this are the forums, there is one tale that must be mentioned... "Almalexia and the Mudcrab" - those who follow the topics here may experience a strange sense of Deja Vue if they know that particular story...

My favourite TES books can't be in ESO: A Dance in Fire and The Wolf Queen. I always try to collect both series, and occasionally have resorted to buying volumes from bookshops to complete the collection.

Within ESO my favourite is probably Confessions of a Khajiit Fur Trader. I was genuinely horrified reading it and afterwards realised it was kind of cool that a short story about characters who don't even appear in the game (as far as I know) can get that kind of a reaction from me.

Biographies of Barenziah (and The Real Barenziah) can't be in ESO because they're set after Tiber Septim takes over and establishes his empire, which won't happen until after the Three Banners War (aka alliance war in Cyrodiil). In fact that may be what ends the war.

I don't know Fall of the Snow Prince however, so I'm not sure about that one.

The Lusty Argonian Maid part 1 (found somewhere in AD) (the one when she "rubbed the spear" all night. That is a true horror story)

Argonian Mating Rituals(Found in Shadowscale in the decerter altmer camp) (not dirty but it was intresting to read that argonians act very differently than the other races in Tamriel)

Different faiths: Khajiit (found in Green shade or Malbar Tor, don't recall) (love how they refer to Sheogarath as "Skooma Cat")

Bosmer Jokes(found in Malbar Tor). It has many fun jokes like "what side of the raven has the most feathers? The outside" or "why did the monekys fall down from the tree? Because they are dead" and my personal favorite "what has three heads, smells bad and is uggly? My bad, you don't have three heads"

The locked room I think it's called. The one where she has to unlock a door in 30 minutes or be food for a starving elder vampire.

It's strange, I love games and I love books but not books in games. I hoarded every book in the past 2 TES games and was planning on sitting down to read them someday but that day never came.

It could be the screen thing as I prefer my reading done in hand with that good hardcover feel (or fancy leather bound feels mmm).

There was a PDF file combining all the Skyrim books (and it was huge!) so I'm hoping to see the same thing for ESO.

Not exactly a book, but I got a laugh out of Gwendis' highly detailed masterpiece "Ravenwatch Research: Aesar Hatespinner". I came across it again recently:
Verandis and his thirst for knowledge and research is going to be the death of me. Watching a big, dumb spider is just plain boring!

    Big spider tended eggs.

    Big spider spun webs.

Big spider bored me, so I'm done here.
