Unable to complete Main story Quest

I am trying to complete the main story the weight of three crowns and during the quest Molog bal would appear and you have to close the unstable portals. For me it will completely freeze but still have audio on once the next step is updated. I am unable to progress on without completing the quest. Any advice will be appreciated.
