Question about ESO subscription

I currently play the pc version with a subscription. I'm going to buy the ps4 version and start playing that way. Does my sub carry over automatically or do I need to cancel the pc sub and start a new one when I get the ps4 version?

    Cancel and resub on PS4, ESO+ subscriptions do not span platforms (note that your characters will not transfer over either).
