If by elistist, you mean somebody that won't do certain dungeons with certain people because they simply aren't good enough.

I don't do LFG business on gold pledges/trials/vet dungeons anymore after a group wiped in every vet Fungal Grotto fight, and a normal Maj group took 4 hours to complete the trial.
I greatly appreciate people who are willing to teach and host learning runs - that's how we all learn after all, but i'm not patient enough to do that for others

I'm not competitive and don't like thinking that I need to prove to myself that I'm better than someone else. As long as I am successful with whatever I choose to do, that is how "I" determine success. Therefore I can't really be an elitist if I don't like to try and put myself above someone else.

No. I'm way too easy going for that. Me getting mad in game usually involves /sitchair and thats about it lol.

Elitist can mean many things to many people. Are you asking if ;

a) Are you a total ass-hat who talks *** to everyone, posts your FTC report after every trash pull, constantly tell others how awesome you are and talk down other players constantly etc etc?

or

b) You choose to play with people who are equally as skilled as you and therefore avoid pugging. (ie play with guilds/friends and choose not to do content such as vCOA vWGT vICP or trials with random pugs. You feel that pugging wastes time and you dont always feel like spending 15 mins explaining every boss fight to every random pug who didnt even bother to go read up on the instance you're in thereby wiping you and your group for the next hour. You also don't like to play with special snowflakes who feel that they just have to do mag DD in 5 piece heavy armor while spamming snipe cos they want to play how they want. If you encounter such a player (a rare occurrence since you play with friends/guildies mostly), your response is to tell the group "ty for the run but I dont think this is going to work and then apologise and leave".

If you're asking if I fall into category A, then no.
If you're asking if i fall into category B, then yes.

I try to give people advice and people call me elitist all the time. So yes.

very interesting article, and for the most part on the money. I will disagree with one point though. in my experience within ESO some of the top players (ie no1 on the leaderboards) are the most vile, disgusting people ever to have walked the earth, and would better serve the game by leaving. I've seen them in zone actively abusing and harassing everyone just because they are such reprehensible individuals, using their 'status' to demean anyone playing the game just for fun. even sadder is that they often go to zones in groups of like minded bottom feeders and i've seen them gang up and shout down / ridicule and outright attack anyone who questions or confronts them. it's truly disgraceful. no amount of skill or titles can excuse such behaviour, and why they would do so is beyond me. definitely some serious issues going on there.

The same reason why celebrities and millionaires are so taken to things like drugs/affairs etc etc. They have the perfect life we all want, tons of $$, cars, houses, dat hot girl/man on their side. But they feel the need to spice up their life. It probably gets boring having it all.
