I was just wondering if anything is being done about the cheaters, to be more specific today me and a group of reds worked our way across the top of the map and took the scroll of Ni-Mohk, then later a blue uses their red character to take the scroll and run it back and there was no way for us to stop him, I mean its ridiculous.

, of course if ZOS don't want to get involved with such things it does make me wonder why they don't just ask one of their coders to take all of what 10 mins and add a game mechanic that kicks the player carrying the scroll. 1 -

Rhandee235✭✭✭Sorry to hear this occurred. It is pathetic, and I hope there weren't any organized DC guilds on at the time. You can't do much in this game about the instances where someone rips everyone off, just because they can.
I put this behavior at the same level as a guildmate who empties the guild bank in the middle of the night.0 -

✭Yea that's the problem when you are able to have multiple factions in the same campaign, that should have never been part of the game, one faction one campaign, you want to play with your friends be in the same campaign, want to fight against them use your guest campaign, the willy nilly faction flopping in this game has made the whole three faction warfare a joke, and does as much harm to the game as the lag, nothing worse in my opinion than fighting along side some one and 15 minutes later they are on their other faction trying to kill you, there is no campaign pride or faction pride in this game, I really wish they had followed the DAOC model a little closer when it comes to pvp.
If Camelot Unchained makes it to market, there will be no having multiple factions in the same campaign, it will be Three faction Warefare as it should be.3 -

tonemd✭✭✭✭This falls ino the same camp as people logging in on an enemy faction toon and giving away movement and location information.
It's unsportsmanlike but calling it cheating means you have actual defined rules that are being violated. Hacking code is cheating. Exploiting bad design even though ZOS has said it is unintended AND undesired is cheating. Everything else is allowed.
Unless ZOS takes a stand, it's just a d*** move.1 -

MercTheMage✭✭✭✭While it may be annoying and a really dickish, it's not cheating I'd say. At least, not in the sense that it goes against ZOS' Ts&Cs.
It fits well within the game's rules and limitations. There's no hacking so It's not an unfair advantage, red can do the same to the other factions. If anything, it adds to immersion. Spies infiltrating the opposition has been happening since the dawn of time.

And I don't mean to offend, but red aren't exactly strangers to playing dirty. Zerg Zerg Zerg which is technically spam hahaha
So getting upset over the other factions getting down and dirty for once isn't gonna help lol.
And at the end of the day, it's just a game. Have fun, play with your friends. Don't lose sleep over something trivial lol

EdmundTowers✭✭✭I would like to have the option for factions to kill their own scroll runners. In fact, carrying scroll makes the runner no longer immune to friendly fire. ✭✭✭✭✭Of course it's a form of cheating. It's pretty obvious. The only reason ZOS doesn't do anything about it is the same reason Cyrodiil hasn't been fixed: ZOS is unwilling to pay for it. The same goes for exploiters.

But it is underhanded, and highly frowned upon..
The only thing you can really do is harass said player so much that they quite the game....... and or they pull a nervana .. and end it forever....
90% of all ESO guilds do not do crap like that .... its a code of honor....
But then you have the 10% that just makes everyone else look bad . because ZOS allows then be be a worm in your apple..

✭This is a tactic DC has been using for a while. We had similar incidents in the past where they tried to defend it saying others were cheating, it didn't really effect the campaign, and other BS.
The thread eventually got closed for "naming and shaming", but honestly if this is a valid tactic now why couldn't we just list out the names? Did they do anything shameful? Or is it we're just ignoring the issue by saying it's a valid tactic.0
