PS4 keep freezing

This has never happened before, but recently this game tend to freeze screen every 2 or 3 hour play.

BGM still going on, but screen stay fixed.
All the buttons become useless so I have to press PS button and manually close program.

Luckily my 3 bug time are not in the combat.

Console version should be less trouble than PC since everyone use same hardware and software.
Does anyone has same problem?

By the way, when will this cake event end?
Can I use exp buff after event?

Yeah I've had it a few times on the PS4 also fps drops in areas where there's nothing going on and nobody around, I've seen the odd post regarding it but no idea if it's being looked into... "expect a fix soon" would be my guess.

It's pretty bad on PS4 at the moment. In Cyrodiil, I am missing the entire texture of the ground sometimes. Yes. The texture is completely missing. It's just a blur of brown and other full colors in certain patches, as if the game refuses to render them.

Same here as well (though not after every 2-3 hours of playing as the initial post says, but more like once each 2-3 days).
This freeze thing never happened before this DLC.

Been having the same issue but on xbox one...No problems with every other game I have, just eso sadly. Wrothgar is a nightmare with the lag and crashing trying to get writs done daily and quests. Now the console just freezes periodically and starts this loud hum. When I close eso down the noise stops. Hope they wanna buy a new console if this game breaks it....lol Seriously, the game is having some serious issues with this update.

Yup, same here - screen freeze, have to manually close.

Also noticed significant FPS stuttering in trash pulls in dungeons - though I think I have seen this acknowledged by ZoS - but I don't remember where.

Sorry it's not a screen shot but you get the idea....

PS4 is freezing, laggy, slow frame rates and kicks you out two or three times an hour since TG in pve (can't speak for pvp) some animations take a while to load and some as above don't load at all.... I do hope for a fix soooon....

I, too, have noticed this — especially in the Imperial City, where I've frozen multiple times in the Arena District near the staircase in halfway between the DC and AD spawn points.

My girlfriend and I came back to eso last night after taking a little break. We were having fun messing around in the IC Sewers when we both had our games freeze, which required closing and restarting the application (on PS4).

After the second freeze we called it a night and watched some TV instead. As you might imagine, it was a lackluster night of eso after 15 mins of game play that was interrupted with a couple hard freezes. Disappointing...

I also had these freezes on PS4. I mainly encountered this in IC sewers, especially in the area of the boss next to the AD base. Forget his name, the one with all these clanfear cages around.
But I recognized something else: I normally play solo and didn't have a single freeze when doing so. But when I group up I can count the minutes until next freeze. And this is mainly for small IC groups with 3-8 people.
So I think this issue might be related to groups.

One spot in Selene's Web (normal) at the entrance.. we all froze at the same spot... had to walk around it. Imperial City in Temple, the corner down of of the EP spawn, we all froze if we went into that room. CoA right before the big fire dude (big boss BEFORE Ash Titan - where enemies keep spawning until you kill the bone colossus... couple of random freezes for me and my group here and there.

Whats most annoying is running in IC to grind, using the xp cake outside of Cyrodiil, coming in, then freezing and dying and having to leave and come back if you want to use the xp bonus. Mementos in PvP is another topic (currently being discussed in forums), but it is a real pain in the rear end.

That's quite a coincidence, because that's EXACTLY where we kept freezing last night. We were in a group of 2.

Yup freezes at random places onxb1 too. Can be in an area with no one around and then.... Restart game basically

Glad it's not just me but it's getting unplayable in the sewers iv had 6 freezes in the last 2 hours have to restart the game every time

Problems for me too. I don't recall ever having lag or stuttering until today, but i'm afraid the game is barely playable for me at the moment. I have also had a couple of crashes and difficulty logging back in. Time for a break then.
