Why doesnt Radiant Destruction show animation/sound if it kills you?

You just die out of nowhere, deathcap might show anywhere from 5-10k RD, but you didnt see it happen.

The tool tip says it does damage 1 time every 1 second. This means that the ability will hit 1st at the 0.00 second mark, 2nd hit at 1.00 seconds, 3rd hit at 2.00 seconds, and so on.
