Breg_Magol✭✭✭✭Yeah .. I agree. My sorcerer has a red smudge just above his belly button and well .. no one can actually see it, but I know it's there and it bugs the hell out of me! I just need some virtualised salicylic acid please.
Seriously though, it'd be great to be able to make some cosmetic changes when the inspiration moves us. A hairstylist/barbershop would be a good option as well!
What I stlll *really* want is the ability to buy a DLC mission to change factions ... but that's the grist for another thread

Also the fact that we can only delete 3 characters at a time. It really makes it hard to remake characters after you get in the game and find something wrong with them.
If I'm going to spend hundreds of hours playing a character I want to enjoy everything about their appearance.
PLS ZOS GIVE US A CHANGE CHARACTER APPEARANCE OPTION.
Not just hair, a full change. Height, Skin tone, Arm size, Chest size, everything you can do in Character Creation.

✭Skyrim had this feature in the very first dlc, so Zenimax does have the means to do it.
Also, other mmos have the ability for a full change as well, so the arguement that skyrim was a single player game is void.

It has been in consideration for a loong time, and like everything else, was put on hold while they were working on the console release. And now that that's done, they keep doing the backlog... like the also long announced imperial city, come out just now. And the long announced Orsinium, coming... well, likely somewhen around christmas by all guesses. And Thieves Guild & Dark Brotherhood... likely to appear somewhen around the end of Q1, 2016.
And actually that one would be a good place to have recustomization appear...
I just hope they will do it well.
Not merely a "re-enter chargen" item sold in the crown store, but...
...ach, I am dreaming of a "barbershop" for "everyday changes" (stuff like hairstyle, makeup, adormnents, etc.) in every major city, paid for with gold,
...and thensome "plastic sorcery provider" for "structural changes" (like body shape, voice, eye & skin color, possibly race as well) hidden in coldharbour for example (or possibly some secret outlaw refugee, but I think coldharbour would be better), and paid for with crowns, hopefully not a flat cost to enter, but a small culmulative cost for every change made, every slider moved, to be paid when satisfied and clicking the "make it so" button (to prevent people who buy a recustomization and then realize they forgot one detail from being vexed - this way, they can just re-enter and fix the small detail for the small detail cost... also, makes it easier for many people who are "just thinking" about it to go for it when its a small cost per change instead of a huge one no matter how small a detail you want to alter... and in the end, usually "small, easily affordable" things end up to a greater total then "big price purchase" stuff...)
...and then...
...they can sell more options in the crown store! More hairstyles! More tatoos. More whatever... Possibly unlocking "non-racial" color options for hair and skin, to allow people to play as "mixed blood"? Perhaps even "structural" options, like an feature that allows nords to exceed the current maximum height as "titanborn", or allow people other character alterations not currently supported by the sliders... (Bodybuilder orc berzerker? Fat breton friar? Big breasted altmer priestess of mara? Heck, if they added a slider for male crotch bulges, they could make a lot of crowns from selling ever larger embiggerment options... all right, maaaybe not that one
)
And of course, I also hope for a "recordkeeper" NPC in your capital city, who upon filing the "correct paperwork" will "update the official records" with a new character name... (correct paperwork to be bought in the crown store... )
Mentioned class and alliance changes... are much bigger cans of worms, and thus should be considered seperately.0 -
NovaMarx✭✭✭✭✭There's at least one of these threads a week, and every time people voice how much they want it, and that they are willing to pay for it. How ZOS still haven't implemented it is beyond me. My money is on bad planning and warped priorities. Of course it's great with new content (like IC), but adding a barbershop (through Crown Store) would be so much more profitable in the long run, and keep players interested. The DLC is a one time pruchase, but people would pay again and again to change their appearance. Because there is so much focus on profit lately, I doubt the barbershop will be added like the dye station (even if you have to pay gold), unless they make it so expensive (gold-wise) that you feel better off buying through Crown Store.
I'm unhappy with several of my characters' appearance, so ZOS you would be making quite a bit of money from me alone!

Stranglehands✭✭✭✭Adding it to the crown store or making it a new shrine would be easy. Actually making a real barber shop could be a pretty costly thing to do, because you'd have to add new buildings, new npcs with dialogue, etc. to every city. That's something they dodged with the dye stations because they just put them in shops that already existed.
