So Nightblades are the only ones who can avoid Meteor?

    OP, no class or class skills can avoid meteor but there is trick to reduce the damage from it.

    That's wrong. Nb can use cloak.

    Cloak suppress the dot DMG but doesn't avoid it....

    The trick is block+healing ward when hit then cloak+healing ward.

    If you cloak in time the meteor will never hit you and not leave the ground aoe dot.
    So yes, cloak let's you avoid meteor completely if timed right.

    Contrary to what many will claim, Meteor is dodgeable. This skill is very difficult to dodge though compared to a skill like Wrecking Blow or Crystal Fragments. You have to dodge as soon as the Meteor is hovering 1in from the head of your character. Works every time unless there is more than a little lag (must block then) or if your enemy is smart enough to CC you before it hits.

    Soundwise, these are the steps:
    1) You here a deep rumble similar to that of a far off explosion, and white runes appear to circle your character.
    2) There is a very short period of silence. This is when you should decide whether to block or dodge. You might start blocking now.
    3) A swoosh sound plays as the Meteor speeds down onto your screen, almost immediately impacting the floor beneath you. When the Meteor does this (specifically right above your character's head) it is time to dodge roll it.
    4) Crash of a Meteor hitting the floor. If blocked, you will take some damage and need to escape the AoE ASAP. If dodged, you are free from it and the enemy wasted their Ultimate. If laggy, you will dodge roll away from the AoE but face the unmitigated damage and CC+snare.

    Keep in mind that as a Magicka build you usually don't have the Stamina to dodge roll anyway so you need to block it and then use whatever is available to get away from the AoE. Stamina builds can dodge roll this much easier.

    Hope I helped a bit :)

    Notes on how Magicka classes easily survive Meteors:
    Mag DK --> Block + Healing Ward + Chains/Efficient Purge/walk away
    Mag Sorc --> Block + Bolt Escape + Conjured Ward/Healing Ward
    Mag NB --> Block + Shadow Image + Healing Ward OR Block + Double Take/Debilitate + Healing Ward + walk out OR Cloak at the right time
    Mag Templar --> Block + Cleansing Ritual + BoL/Healing Ward + walk out

    PRO TIP: Metors are much more reliably dodged, both in and out of lag, if you are moving in one direction (best with Major Expedition) and dodge roll in that same direction. Weird but true in my experiences!

    I concur that you most definitely can dodge it. It takes perfect timing, and you ain't going to be perfect all the time. But it 100% can be dodged via rolling, mostly exactly as you said.

    Probably just another salty post lol but...

    I just recently grinded out the mages skill line and so I can finally try out meteor. However much to my dismay when I try using it the first time against nightblades they can just cloak away and completely avoid getting hit by it. But its not ok to reflect it back anymore so I have to hold block, take the hit and aoe damage then roll dodge out of it..?

    Yes a nightblade can cloak the meteor out of existence.

    But they can also be aoe'd to break the cloak so they still get hit by it.

    Smart players already do this. It's actually trivial to pound a magblade with meteor as long as you just hit them with any aoe. Bombard works like a charm.

    @Doncellius

    Sorry. I agreed with your point. I was making a sarcastic comment nodding to the terrible lag in PvP and how it stops pretty much anything that requires good timing.

    For the millionth time:

    Stop, Block, and Roll.

    Don't even need to stop. Block while moving and roll dodge at the last second and it doesn't even slow you down

    This is nothing, my Magicka DK just shrugs meteors off like rain fall. Now getting Wrecking Blow'd is another thing. That does more base damage than any ultimate ability. I'd happily take a meteor any day.
