Hey all. Just found myself musing about this and thought it might make for an semi-interesting discussion to throw onto the general forums lol.
But you ever have a game (here or otherwise) that you eventually settled on "main'ing" a class that seemed different than your usual?
In most games i play (including many MMO's i dabble in) i am a paladin type. Usually heavy armor. Always melee. Usually a tank in groups. Like to have self healing options. You know the type. Barring those i go for a warrior type.
I also love dragons... i mean Draco is part of my handle pretty much everywhere.
So for here, it seems that either templar or dragon knight would be MADE for me.
At this point i've played all 4 classes to 15'ish (not all THAT high, i understand, but enough that i can get a kinda feel for em). And you know my favorite?
Dual wield Magicka nightblade.
And my second favorite?
2h Stam sorc.
Heh... go figure.
Right now i'm main'ing my nightblade and loving the hell out of it. Maybe its because i always loved stealing in elder scrolls games. The thieves guild was always one of the first i became a master of in every elder scrolls since morrowind. These days i make the majority of my lowbie gold by stealing everything not nailed down and selling anything that goes for more than 20 gold (unless its something nice i can launder and put up in my trade guild's AH).
But i enjoy invisibility, nightblade ultimates, looking forward to sap essence, etc.
As a sorc i actually like playing as a 2h build with pets. Probably sucks endgame but it keeps me amused as i quest

My dragon knight feels "tank'ier" and my templar can basically self heal like a boss with his little spear stabby ability but neither amuses me more than my NB or sorc... and i can't even completely put a finger on why lol.
Ah well... just roll with it, eh?
So anyway, what about you guys? Ever play a game fully expecting to love a specific class and end up with the exact opposite? Any interesting stories along the way?
ty for any replies
